Briggs Family Trailer

Well i can agree that maybe they had better choices for the roster but i don't get this hate.
I mean they both look good to me and i am NOT a Jax fan. I don't see what's the problem with Jacqui either.

I guess some ppl are bitter because their favorites didn't make it into the roster this time, and i can understand that.

And it's always the same guy complaining about everyone else's behaviour whilst failing to see the flaws in his own. I suggest you stop with the rude little remarks you're constantly making about me, because I find it quite pathetic that you have absolutely nothing better to do.
 
All right:

Firstly, visually, both characters look great. Jax is as most would expect, but that isn't a bad thing for Jax fans. Jacqui looks pretty and badass, and I'm happy she'll get a chance to smack Ermac around a little bit after the events of Mortal Kombat 9. The trailer was the least exciting of the three family trailers thus far, but mostly because we didn't have any interaction between Jax/Jacqui. Gameplay wise, we know nothing, so I'm not sure how people are jumping to conclusions already. The fatalities look absolutely brutal (as usual), specifically Jacqui's. I'm very interested.

Overall, although the trailer could've been more hype, I am looking forward to seeing their breakdowns on Saturday.
 
I'm not mad that Jacqui and jax are in the game. My favorite is already in the game. I could care less if anyone else gets in so long as kenshi makes it. I am upset however, that kenshi is literally the last character they are going to officially reveal. I can't watch the trailer currently because I'm in class right now but I'm hoping Jacqui and jax don't dissapoint. Thus far no one has(cept kang)
 
Well lets see what's going he-and looks like a flamewar be happening.

Seriously though, I think it's a pretty decent trailer.
 
Huh, weird. Kung Lao says "Do not interfere Jackson Briggs, go back into hiding." Could this hiding thing have anything to do with the "Where have you been Kung Lao?" Dialogue?

I had to rewatch the trailer to make sure. Somehow, Jacqui shoots out the entire backside of her opponent in a Fatality. Ew. XD

Cant believe people are saying they are bland or a waste. We literally only see 1 small combo for each character in that video.
The rest of the things they do are throws, stage interactions, x rays and fatalities.
From those 2 combos however, Jacquis combo starter at 0:37 looks sweet.
Jax does his Gotcha but we all knew he'd do that.

Nothing bratty about stating the obvious. But here's a big breakdown just for you why other characters would have been more suitable.

Jacqueline:

Pros:
Guantlets should add some variety
Fatality looks decent
Nothing inherently "bad" about her

Cons:
The personality as bland as styrofoam
Literally just has a soldiers uniform, and Cassie is rocking a better version of it already.
Moves look generic and bland, simply extending punch/projectile moves.

Jax

Pros:
Seems to add something to the story this time with him being revenant and revived, some potential there.
Those sneak peeks at his fatalities and X-ray looked awesome.

Cons:
It's still Jax...and with him his boring moveset and look.
Yet another returning character, that has the double whammy of being another special forces character

Yeah, I would've preferred a more unique character, Add a cyborg (take your pick), another race (Baraka?), a god with cool powers (Fujin?), even a warrior with a better look (Reiko?) to add some visual variety and a better move-set to play with. As is Jacqueline stands as the most boring new character I've seen since Kobra,
 
Rewatched it in English... they seem less lame now. Still kind on the fence about Jacqui though. Story wise at least.
 
I'm not really sure what to think. I don't really care for Jax, nor did the trailer make me anymore excited for him, but i'm torn on Jacqui right now. I was excited to see her in action, but i'm still on the same level as I was before I saw the trailer. However, I don't think i've seen enough of her to make a judgement. I do think her fatality looks badass though. At least it's not similar to any of Jax's. I think the next Kombat Kast will give me a proper idea. I do like the powered gauntlets though

Yes, it is bratty to call a character 'boring' & 'generic' and deem them a waste of a character slot simply because you dislike them. Do you understand the simple concept of subjectivity? You may find them boring, others don't.
