What's the deal with Reiko? Why does he have such a fan following? Did this all stem from the fact that he was Shao Kahn's general and he wore his helm in the MK4 ending? Someone please tell me

Reiko's "fan following" comes from the comic. Before the comic, he was a lot less talked about.

It's true. We Reiko fans were alot fewer before his appearance in the the MKX comics.

Is that it? But even from the comic, we still hardly know that much of him. All we know is that he is using Mileena to get somewhere/something. We don't know his true motives or anything. :s

To me, he was just a bland insignificant character like Meat, Movado, Hotaru, Darrius, Havik, Taven, Molloch etc. He's more significant than them but still not that significant to be a playable character. Maybe its just me, I dont get the interest in him. There's nothing unique about him that interests me. I get why people want Kenshi, Rain and Baraka, because they are unique and have interesting fighting styles but Reiko seems generic and boring. Is it just me? Is it because he is a fresh face into the scene?
