Better Than This?

Many people, myself included, believe that this game is probably the best there is right now. It may even become the best there ever will be. But my question is: can Midway make a better game than this?

I have faith that the Midway team will be able to continue to improve on the series with future games. Especially with all the new consoles that will come out in the future.

Well, yes, they could top Deception I think.. Every game has its flaws, sometimes purposely placed in, so consumers will look forward for the next one, and "hoping that it won't have *insert flaw here*"

I think that at this point the games will just keep getting better. I don't know how long that'll last, but I'm positive that the next game will be even better than Deception, especially considering it'll be on the new consoles.

On a related note, am I the only person here that looks like Deception was like a filler.. too make up for Deadly Alliance? You know? Like.. The "MK Trilogy" of 3d MK... IMO..

just make deception with no konquest and every character ever....maybe add a few n00bs. some more cool stages, and every character..ohh i mentioned that.

I totally understand what you mean, I just don't agree with your perception of what was intended by the development team. The team had a lot to learn about console development and they simply ran out of time when DA's ship date came around. They aimed to make sure that Deception was everything they wanted DA to be. But to take it to the next level they added that enormous Konquest mode and the two awesome mini-games and ONLINE! I thought that Deception was more than a revision of Deadly Alliance. It established what direction the franchise was going, and judging by the sales figures and the critical acclaim and the fanbase's acceptance, they're going in the right direction.
