BANALITY
were getting brutalities with xray which is really cool. but is 2 fatalities really needed per character. cyrax can do his net fatality then while his opponent is in net he can do his other fatality where he cuts opponents body. also scorpion can do his toasty fatality then while opponents burning he does his slice and dice fatality. this way the fatalities will be longer and more complete.

Fatalities are not meant to be a movie. Back in the days they were quick yet brutal. Your examples are similar to Hotaru's triple neck snap; unnecessarily long and pointless.
 
yeah but they could make it like a saw scene. more memorable and bigger effect that way. and how is it like triple neck snap you doof. characters have different fatality for first and second so what im saying is mix them into one.

exactly but if each character had a fatality like a saw scene then they'll all be nicely sick instead of two fatalities that look like an ultra move.

mods pls change thread title to 'both fatalities mixed into one'

I think adding Fatalities together isnt a horrible idea. It makes the fatality look better and last a fee more seconds. Besides adding fatalies leaves room for new ones.
For ex... Kano uses his eye laser to soften the opponents chest n then approches him and james his hand into the opponents chest, pulling out there heart. Its jist a classic Fatality upgraded. N for a 2nd fatality they can do anther joining of fatalities or come up with a new suitable one for him

I disagree.......The reason MK is so popular is because u can dismember your opponent after the beating u laid out on them. Kind of like an "in your face!" i'm better than you! Each character should have as many brutal finishers as the technology allows........More Gore Less Bore! know what i mean?
 
Then every time you win with a particular character you have the same fatality every time.

Its nice to have at least 2 options for the fatality.

Also If you combine both fatalities into one, then you just have one (more elaborate) fatality.

So you are just redesigning it.
It would make more sense, if you said that you would like the fatalities to last longer.
But after watching that LONG fatality over 100 times you will be mashing on the buttons trying to skip it!
So shorter fatality is better, And a variety of options(multiple fatalities) is better.
I don't want to have to do the same one over and over each time I win.
 
yeah i understand. i got the idea from the scenes in untraceable, where the killer tortures his victims with acid etc. i thought if characters have torture fatalities it would be kinda cool. maybe in mk film we see my idea e.g. sonya does neck-breaking move on opponent and as they're falling down she blows them a kiss.

why wud you wanna reduce the number of fatalities? the more the better give them 20 fatalities each of they can lol... makes the game more diverse...the amount of fatalities each character has means no effect on THE fatalities arnt sole focus no they aint but, the more the better.
