Armageddon on the Xbox 360?

Just wanted to check and see if anyone has tried running MK Armageddon on the 360? I don't own the game and the 360 is my only console, but I'd like to pick it up.

I know it's on the backward compatibility list, but I've heard that some/a lot of games on the list run like ass on the 360. So I'm wondering how good it really plays. So, has anyone tried it?

You're just going to have to accept that not everyone is completely disgusted by the idea of playing Armageddon.

Is it safe to import this to work on my 360? Like all the other people in Europe i was disgusted that Midway would throw the loyal fans in the bin.

T'wasn't Midway's fault the game wasn't backwards compatable. But since the most recent updates, I believe it is. So no *****ing needed. Just pop in the disc and enjoy.

Unless you own a NTSC Xbox 360, Xbox1, or a hacked PAL Xbox1, you are SOL. As of today, there is no way of playing "region locked" import games on the 360. There are however, "region free" games that will work on all versions of the 360. A simple search at google can find most of these games. Unfortunately, MKA for Xbox is not "region free".

Also, there are PAL versions of MK Armageddon for the PS2 and Wii. So they didn't totally leave you guys in the dark. ;)

this thread sucks

Then stay out of it Tim, just don't reply or read it.

Also glad to see you again WorknMan, love to see the old school guys still around now and then!

The game works great on the 360, even runs at 1080i (haven't tested 1080p yet) which the Xbox version didn't do. It looks great.

Well, I picked this game up this afternoon and can report that it works flawlessly, and does support widescreen too.

This is the first MK game I've played since MK4 (and I didn't really play much of that one). I only got to play MKA for a bit today.. was using Scorpion and doing some crazy air juggle combos. There's a dizzying number of characters to choose from, and I like the customizable fatalities. It seems like a lot of fun, so dunno why it gets trashed around here?

I haven't tried UMK3 on XBLA yet. I haven't played UMK3 in about 10 years, so I'd have to re-learn everything :) Are people actively playing it online? If I had to rely on playing the cheap-ass CPU AI, it wouldn't even be worth $5, since I can play it in MAME for free anyway.

Reasons are simple, no bio's so you really have no idea as to character motivation, the endings are beyond lame, and the fatality system sucks balls because we wanted character specific fatalities and not this create a fatality crap. The game is fun no doubt, but looking back now, since it is what may be the last true MK game, it is pretty lacking.
