And Then There Were Two

I've also noticed over the years, even since I was a kid playing MKII in arcades, that people still say Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, and Shao Kahn wrong. They almost have to be taught how to use the short A sound. SHAO. Not Shayo. Lao, not Layo. They do it fine when rattling off lame characters like Hsu Hao. Why?

I never heard that. But I live in Brazil, we have other pronunciation problems here. Sub-Zero is actually a name that could be used in portuguese, and then people tend to say it in a portuguese way. Also, Mileena's name. In portuguese, a pretty common name is Milena, with just one "e", and people normally speak her name that way, and it's completely different from Mileena. It's weird, but actually I'm the one who says it differently. Sometimes being able to speak English can be a pain in the ass.

The same thing usually occurs with Spanish-speaking fans such as myself. Most people - albeit not all - pronounce her name "Milena" instead of "Mileena". I sometimes feel weird calling her Mileena in front of non-English speakers LOL.

I dont see the next coming weeks being that interesting....i really dont care about Khan...so the next three weeks are kinda irrelevent...i could care less about the wall papers and stuff.I want to see a preview of story mode..2hours of cut scenes???Bring it on!!!

Another one: I remember a schoolmate said he played MKII in another town's arcade and there was this black guy named BIFF!!!!
I still don't know if it's total bogus and he never played MKII or if he actually saw Jax but couldn't remember his name and came out with Biff...
