Certainly made my balls tighten! Can't wait!!

As much as I'm hyped about the Alien I do hope we get to see another stage fatality!

Dudes hating on Alien is some low level ho shit. Pretending like they don't recognize its BAMF status just because it's from another franchise.

I recognize Alien's popularity... it just never hit with me. I was never a fan. In any way. I don't like the movies, I don't like the Xenomorph's design, I don't think it is a cool character... I've seen the movies, but they're not good movies, imo. The first Alien movie had a good suspense to it which I thought was well done, but as soon the Xenomorph was revealed, it just went downhill from there, imo.

And I feel the same about the Predator, Jason and Leatherface, heck, even Freddie Krueger who was in MK9. I have no emotional or nostalgic attachment to any of those characters, so for them to be in MK is just not something I'd want.

I understand and accept that I am in the minority. I know Alien have TONS of fans, same with Predator and Jason... did not expect Leatherface to have a big fanbase though, but there you go.

I am just not amongst them.

I feel like all the cameo characters in the MKX Story Mode should've been granted playability before any sort of guest character was even considered in MKX.

Same here. I hope all assassin Kitana's buffs stays. Plus assassin strike or f2 become an overhead.

On the guests discussion... I know Alien, I know Jason, I know Freddy Kruger and I know Leatherface... But not Predator (from his own movie). I once watched Alien vs. Predator and that's when i got introducet to him. And most of my friends here from Brazil doesn't know who he is.

I am ready for Thursday to get here. It will be the Alien and Kraken day in my opinion if they show off the Kove stage fatality. Ugh I am just hyped for the stage fatalities but the wait is killing me I want to see them now.
 
I'm sort of amazed about the lack of Alien fans on this site. I thought you couldn't go anywhere on the net without an army of Alien fans.

Anyways, Alien looks sweet. That Queen Alien fatality is so perfect, even if its ripped right out of a scene.

Do yourself a favor and watch the first Predator movie. It's Arnold's best, other than T2 IMO. You don't need to watch the others, especially the AvP ones, those suck, just watch the first one, you won't regret it!
It's weird to me that people in Brazil dont know the character, here in Argentina he is fairly well known (as much as a character who hasn't been relevant in years can be at least) and you can still catch the movies on TV every once in a while.

I thought Predator 2 was great. Like the Alien3 of the predator series, an underrated masterpiece.

I understand where you and all the other people are coming from... they dont like the guest characters because they never appealed to them... BUT im thankful for these horror/sci-fi icons to be included. Heck im already obssesed with MK... lol and then they brought my next fav obssesion Freddy into MK9... I was the happiest mother fu**er alive.... my only regret is (as if i havent already blabed about it enough) that they should have tested the "guest characters" with Leatherface in MK9 instead of putting him in MKX... that way we could have had Freddy in MKX instead and had a true FvJ match AND an AvP match! Omg... thinking about it makes me wanna JIZZ here, JIZZ there, JIZZ fuc**n everywhere! Haha! ;)

The thing about guests, and I've said this before but
I think the majority of us, myself included, prioritize MK characters. I mean, I'd rather have Kabal.. But when its guest characters you've already liked, as characters, you can't complain.

Now I've seen it already when people magically change their tune and embrace guests when its characters they like. Exactly my main point.

Me personally, when you have an obsession with horror films and MK, it felt like devinve intervention. And TCM being your favorite horror film.. you get the picture.
I hated Kratos in MK9 so I understand people's distastes for our guests. Kratos makes me feel the same way people do about MKX's guests. Its a touchy thing that alienates fans. It, obviously, pleases random clusters of fans.

With Kratos... I love the God of War series and Kratos is awesome! But the way he played in MK9 was awful, and the whole "changing the Fatalities to not make Kratos look bad" thing was just distasteful and unnecessary. I did not feel like I played Kratos in MK9, just some slow and annoying lookalike. And the worst part of it was that not only was he Playstation exclusive, effing over Xbox players who did not get an exclusive character in return, but he also took up a spot that SHOULD have been given Rain!
Well... either Kratos or Quan Chi, but that is a debate we've already had many a time back then. :P

Doesn't matter what anyone says, Rain was part of the original Trilogy and the fact he wasn't in the main roster was simply utter stupidity, imo. I feel the same with the cameos in MKX not being on the main roster, and not even being given a Kombat Pack in order to make them playable. And it just pokes me the wrong way that there are 4 freaking guest characters in the game INSTEAD of the cameo characters!

People have begged for Fujin since the announcement of MKX, but instead they are given the middle finger by NRS.
Hey, we got Tanya, and I'm happy for that... but she should have been in the main roster from the start along with the other cameo characters! NRS wasn't finished with her character model and gameplay at the release, fair enough, they put her finished self in a Kombat Pack... but where are the rest?

So no, even if it was guest characters I like, I would still not want that character in the game over those.
 
I love Jason, Predator, Leatherface and Alien since when i saw them in a movie.. These movies always been my top, therefore there is no problem for me.. I can not resist to play as them. Please pardon me for this.. Playing as Relentless Jason and Hunter Predator so damn cool..

Rain didn't have any significant role in Mortal Kombat until Armageddon, which is the game MK9 was trying to prevent from repeating. Better to leave him out than to shoehorn him in.
