A way Kuai Liang, Bi-Han, and Noob Saibot could've all been in the same game.

There is an issue for some of us when popular characters like Noob, Cyrax and Sektor barley get a small mention (Sektor) or no mention at all (Cyrax and Noob).
At least with the death of Baraka the fans got closure as to what happened with the character, and go "Oh ok, he's dead."
The other 3 didn't even get a mention, unlike Jade who was officially told to us by NRS that she would stay dead for MKX.
They couldn't have done the same for Noob and Cyrax?
A simple "they're dead" or "they lived but are not around," would have sufficed, IMO.

I just don't see why they're obligated to do that. We used to go several games with no idea what'd happened to character x, character y, or character z. If you're writing an ongoing series, it's not good plotting to answer every single question the viewer might have.

Sure, but a nice cameo (at least) or mention as to what happened to those 2 (Cyrax and Noob) would have been nice, imo.
A simple "Cryax escaped" (or died) or "Noob Saibot survived" (or died) would have been nice.
That's all.
If that too much to ask for?
They can give a brief cameo / explanation for Sektor, but they can't do the same for the other 2?

I think with Noob Saibot in particular a bit of mystery is good.

With Cyrax they were clearly leaving their options open so they could decide later, and I think that's fine.

From a fan perspective of the character, though, it seems like a troll / douche move, much like trolling Fujin in Cassie's "Selfie" Fatality and in the story mode, only for him to be nowhere in the game or even as DLC.
I wanted closure on Noob Saibot, as I wanted to know what happened to Bi-Han post-MK9, and Sareena mentioning him in MKX in the past-tense form and him not even being a cameo felt like a huge douche move on their part, despite what purpose they finally had for it.

I do agree that they should have mentioned something about Noob. Especially since we've had one character go through the Soulnado and survived by escaping through the Void. The one intro that mentioned Noob was a cheap shot to those who are wanting to know where he's at.

I will thank that post once I get my thank button.

I guess I just don't see it as a cheap shot so much as a tease that he's still got a role to play. He's popular enough that he'll be back.

Sareena referred to him in past tense because she was talking about when he was alive as Bi-Han, wasn't she? That doesn't have any bearing on Noob.

I think Noob's dramatic return, whatever it may be, will be more impactful if we haven't heard from him or known where he is for a while. If we know for a fact he's alive, it's less surprising when he returns.

Bi-Han and Noob Sabot are one and the same. I don't understand why people keep saying they can be separated.
