A Koin Bounty system?

So I just had a thought looking at someone's Display Picture (which was a Sektor, wanted dead or alive! poster) for an Online function of the game, thought I would run it by you guys.

Say, you get 100 Koins for winning a match. Now lets say you get 200 Koins for winning the second match. Next match, 400. Next match, 800. So on so forth. This continues to build up and double until you lose a match, causing you to sink down to 100 Koins again. If you have earned a Multiplyer of say, a total of 32,000 Koins per win, and someone else beats you, your Koin Kount is reset to 100, and the person who just beat you gains 32,000 Koins.

Now, to prevent just disconnecting when you are starting to lose, preserving your Koin Kounter, disconnecting from a match counts as a lose; your Kounter is reset to 100, and the other player gains 32,000 Koins, if that's the amount you had worked for.

I think it would add a nice sense of urgency to the gameplay, and it would help reinforce that nostalgic "He has just beaten ten people, it's time for me to beat his ass down!" feel. Also, with the sheer amount of kontent this game has for unlocking in the Krypt, it wouldn't give you too many extra koins.

To condense:
-With every online Victory, you gain 2X the koins.
-Losing resets your Koin Multiplyer to 100 Koins.
-Winner yoinks the Losers Koin Kounter; if the Loser had 32,000 Koins coming to him for that victory, the Winner gains 32,000 Koins.
-Disconnecting counts as a loss for the Purpose of the Koin Kounter.


Notes: 2X isn't the amount it has to be, it could very easily be +25 Koins, making it only slightly boost killstreaks, and players with 20+ Killstreaks (600 Koins per victory, starting at 100) fight all the more fiercer to protect their Koin gain, while other players play that much harder to steal their Koins.

just two question

will there be a cap on the multiplier bonus?
and will this be just for one session, meaning that if i play and rack up 32,000 koins and i legitimately end my online session can i still continue at 32,000 or will i need to start out back at 100

Both of those would be up to NRS to decide, honestly. I would assume that:

For the first one, yes, there would be a cap. How high, I don't know, and the more that I think of it, I like the +25 more than the 2x Koin Gain.

And, if I were the one making it, you would be able to restart at where you left off, providing you ended your game legit.
 
That would be pretty cool, also maybe with the true skill ratings, if you beat someone with a higher trueskill you get more, if you beat someone with less you get less, that way it would encourage people to look for a challenge :)
 
The only problem I see with that is what if someone on a win streak had a legitimate internet problem? It happens sometimes. And there is a way to trick the system for it to think a "legit" disconnection occurred.. You just make a lag switch. It's a great idea, but I'd be severely pissed if my internet messed up on a 32,000 koin win streak.

okay then I think it would be a great system. but i just feel that we just need to up the ante a little bit more
since eventually we will earn enough koins to make them useless.

I was thinking one way to up the ante was that along with the koin multiplier
if you loose a match, you can no longer used the character you was playing in any form of online mode
untill you "unlock" them again in the krypt

What I imagined is a system like if someone beat you you could put a bounty on them for however much coins you want. Obviously the higher the amount of koins you put in the more likely someone will call on the bounty. Then people could check the bounty pages and bounty hunt lol. And if they lost they'd loose some coins and the bounty would increase.

It wouldn't be it's own gamemode like what your suggesting but it would be fun to see how much people are willing to put up to see someone put in their place. And if they add replays i'm sure they could have it setup you'll get the replay of the match when the bounty is collected.

Thats not a bad idea, I would enjoy that just as much. Imagine losing to the same guy six times, putting a Bounty on his head, and then having ten people all challenge him to put him in his place :D +rep to you good sir.

Though I have to clarify; my idea isn't a gamemode. It's something that would affect Online.
 
this could be a good and bad idea, modders like to make lag switches to gain an advantage, they can also flood IPs cna kick you off line, so i dont think that disconnecting would result in a loss of koins. idk how this would play out
 
I like the idea of putting stakes on things. Koins are one thing, but I'd like to see them go farther than that with this idea. I liked what that one dude said and I think you should be able to put on a wager by each player that determines the outcome of their futures for a while.

Say in a match, a guy puts on the wager that if he wins, the opponent wont be able to use block for the next 10 matches and if the other guy wins, that opponent wouldn't be able to use punch or loses his ability to use specials or a character for a while.

I'd love to watch incredibly high stakes games. Could you imagine if two pros put their mains on the line for a year?

While I agree with higher stakes, I don't agree with unable to block for X matches; that would encourage joining and quiting games, or just a frustrating experiance for ten games.

Now, locking a character that you wager for X number of Hours.... THAT would be interesting.
