Background of Freddy in mk:

A malevolent spirit of the Dream Realm, Freddy Krueger preys on the souls of the living as they sleep. When Shao Kahn began to steal Earthrealm's souls - souls Freddy considered his own - Freddy battled the emperor in the Dream Realm. But Shao Kahn's will was too strong. He pulled Freddy into the real world, where he was mortal, and defeated him. A badly injured yet determined Freddy fitted both his hands with demonically enhanced razor gloves. Once he has killed Shao Kahn he will find a way back to the Dream Realm, where he will torment Earthrealm's souls for eternity.

That background feels a little forced, but that's what happens with guest characters in anything.

Whatever though, I could give a shit about Freddy's storyline. All I'm looking for is decent gameplay.
 
People, don't you really understand that staying cyber doesn't equal removing human Sub-Zero from MK10? I no doubt he'll be in this game but as Bi-Han (look at MKA Noob's ending) or as non-canon character (like Human Smoke in UMK3/Trilogy), it's obvious. Cyber Sub-Zero won't steal his 'slot'. I want them both anyway.

Freddy's getting a story trailer? No offence intended to the people who made it, but I don't think I'll be keeping my eye out for that one... I have no desire to see this moment happen in MK:

Speak for yourself, but I'm not gonna be so uptight about NRS taking creative liberties with their own franchise.
 
I am a Sub-Zero fan, I think this is the best route for the character.

Kuai Liang is a pussy.


So I'm hoping Bi Han gets separated from Noob Saibot.

That way we get OG Sub, Cyber-Sub and Saibot.

Everyone is happy.

In that case I hope he's just called Noob, I prefer it rather than "Saibot", sounds like a freaking robot that throws sais.

As I speak spanish, the word "Noob" doesnt mean anything to me, so it sounds cool. Saibot is just... lame

Besides he was called Noob, before people went lazy and started using the word as an abreviation of newbie, I hate abbreviations so now ill "laugh out loud".

he has always been Noob Saibot, in MKD and A he was just Noob, but those games werent very relevant to anything IMO

no reson to change it now in MK9 as this is a throwback to the old games, and theres only like 5 people who dont like the name Saibot

Noob without his Saibot is like Sub without his Zero.


Plus I love the way the MKT announcer says Saibot.

Well I see Noob as the main guy, the one you control and Saibot as the shadow that's been thrown around. That way it makes perfect sense.

The announcer says Noob Saibot because BOTH characters actually won the fight.

However, the lifebar only shows Noob's life as Saibot doesn't actually have life, he's a shadow created by Noob. There is no need to write Saibot seeing as he only lives if Noob does.

Back to Freddy, can't wait to see what the trailer'll look like.

I see it as Noob and his shadow, I dont think his shadow is an entity, is just... a shadow, Noob has the power to manipulate it.

The Saibot part was removed since Tobias is not longer part of the MK team.
