I think the main reasons for not revealing the 4th DLC character are too give us hope, to keep us guessing, and for more people to buy the Season Pass. It could be a new character or not. I personaly don't care, if I like the character that comes (which I probably will, since I'm not disliking any announced DLCs yet). And I also hope they'll release even more characters.

Not sure hehe. I've heard some epic theories of him being one of Onaga's holy men (lol), so maybe he'd be like an evil Liu Kang with knowledge of sorcery? Or Liu Kang's lost twin who was seperated from each other after orphanage, but unlike Liu Kang, he is corrupted with evil? Or maybe like Kung Lao, his fighting skills as a Shaolin monk are overshadowed by his twin brother's skills and he becomes more and more jealous of his brother? A playable Shadow Priest without the robe and whatnot (I only say because I want to play as a Shadow Priest)?

Onaga's holy men captured and corrupted Blaze and Hornbuckle was battling him pretty hard. That would actually be a really cool angle to take with him. Not sure if a full DLC character slot would be necessary, but it would've been cool to see him in the Konquest mode of Deception or in a adventure-style spin-off game. See how he fits and go from there. It'd be cool.

Not a bad theory at all. Mortal Kombat is known for secrets and NRS has really hyped anything they can about this game.

As much as I want Tanya in NOW, she may not be the 4th character.
Its most likely a new character, which is semi-confirmed.
I think the NEXT stream of DLC characters after this one will be an MK4 characters pack (Tanya,Reiko, Shinnok, and Fujin) to give a sneak peak of what to expect for MK10....that would be a smart thing to do.
And I agree that Cyber Smoke, since he doesnt exist in this timeline, shouldnt be his own character, just an alternate skin...hopefully that will please the Cyber Smoke fans.

This! I sure hope you're right! And after that, playable bosses offline.
But anyway, that leaves me with Cyber Smoke or a new character... And my preference is a new character and a Cyber Smoke skin for Smoke.

what u guys think about the possibility of it being exclusive to 360?
my reasoning being (and im sure im not the only one to think of this), but only having that 'season pass' available on 360 only, makes zero sense. maybe they're saying, here, get the 3 dlc that ps3 has, and ur gonna get this one free...now ur even, stop talking about it...yadda yadda yadda.

Its basically to keep and generate some interest in the game. Same reason I'm dying to see what Rain and Kenshi look like.

No, technically she IS new. Skarlet never existed. The red Kitana was just some rumor. This is Skarlet's first REAL appearance and was inspired by the rumors.

Why not? And please don't tell me the ridiculous "SAVE HIM FOR THE NEXT GAME" shtick. Seriously, by keeping him out of this game to "save" him for the next game (how that makes sense, I don't even know) just makes this game feel relatively inferior. As if this game is not good enough to have him. We've waited FOREVER to have a great MK game like this, and to purposely hold off a character for DLC because of a potential sequel far off in the distance just makes this game feel less important.

id love a new fighter. but im thinking and hoping its Tanya since she is chained up like skarlet was. Ashrah would be awesome i really liked her, vicious fighter like tanya. im sure it isnt shinnok because hes for the next game.

im very excited about skarlet, no one knows her style or anything, so im happy. Also i dont play the guys much, but Rain was my MK armageddon fave. Love his Zi Ran Men(mkd tanya) style.
