I'm going to say something most people would never say - stay down for as long as you need. Surround yourself with people like me who want to hear you out and have you in their best interest. People often try to get back on their feet as fast as they can and end up in 3 or 4 more situations just like this. It’s okay to think about the guy you loved - the good times you had and the things you loved most about him will never change because it’s in the past – Cherish those things because happiness in something that a lot of people will never experience. I’m no angel and I have my dark past but no one should be “rewarded” with pain -- some people are just scum and will try to take advantage of you; that’s the disadvantage of being such a nice person. At this time, it’s all about you – take the time to do things that make you happy, those things you are struggling to focus on and remember -- they are being rejected by your body because it’s things that can wait.
