It's the worst ending I've seen in a game in a long time.
The game's story is really good until about 3/4's the way through. Then you can see how lazy the writing gets.
As for the gameplay itself, it's hard to say. The game is 40% combat and 60% stealth/platforming. There are only 12 different enemies in the game. And 3 of the 10 can only be found in one or two rooms in Dracula's Castle. The whole game you fight mutated civilians and generic demons.
The game is batshit (lol topical) easy too. I played it on hard and died about 4 times to enemies and 12 times to bosses. For a Lords of Shadow game on hard, that is funking miniscule.
It depends on why you want Lords of Shadow 2. If you want it for the story, you can watch an LP on Youtube or you could read my spoiler in the thread and decide if the carrot at the end of the stick is worth it.
If you want it for the gameplay, there are better hack n slashers out there. And the combat is nearly exactly the same as LoS1
