I just want to see the two tanks (Shao and Kotal) duke it out.

Rain is fine I guess, Fujin should be in just by fan requests alone. Baraka not sounding like Reptile anymore makes me think that the green bastard is actually going to be in. That's good.
 
I think it's going to be extremely controversial if NRS uses any classic characters for dlc. Especially if it's the likes of Mileena, Reptile or Noob. They've been in almost every MK game since MK2. But there's only so much more room on the roster. Somebody's favorite is going to be behind a paywall, and a lot of people are going to be pissed about it.

I personally couldn't care less who is or isn't dlc, I buy them all regardless. But I just don't want this game to have that negativity attached to it. Game journalism these days is nothing but a feeding frenzy, one wrong on the dev's part and all these youtubers just swarm the game in apocalyptic headlines about how the series is ruined and how evil everything is.
 
I also think Kotal is a given. With Shinnok and Quan Chi dead, there's no other character who has any ties to D'vorah other than Kotal. It'd be weird to have such an integral character all by herself with no one to meaningfully interact with.

That Boon quote doesn’t mean shit, given that I’ve already accounted for Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Johnny which we know are in but haven’t officially been “konfirmed.”
Ed Boon thinks people don’t pay attention to little things like the Behind The Scenes video (Johnny), the gameplay trailers (Liu Kang & Kung Lao) or that they can think logically for themselves (Kitana being obvious).
The Behind The Scenes video also showed Cassie, so I also included her as part of the semi-confirmed characters.
They wouldn’t put in Cassie and D’Vorah and not bring back Kotal Kahn.

Just the taunts alone should be great. Hell there should be an entire chapter where it's nothing but Kotal vs Shao just destroying everything. I'm totally not biased here. :lol:
 
As for klassic characters being DLC, I’m pretty sure that the character that they tried to push off as new (Triborg) in MKX sold pretty well, as he was a combination of Cyber Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor and Cyber Sub.
I have 0 issue with Ermac, Mileena or any other klassic being DLC, especially with there being 12 DLC spots (if there are 2 Kombat Packs Of 6).
With 4 spots already being taken up by Skarlet, Cassie, D’Vorah and Geras that means 4 klassic characters out of the 25 most requested aren’t coming back, and it means that someone somewhere isn’t going to be happy about it, no matter what.
Wouldn’t be surprised if MK11 ended up with the 8 ~ 9 being a mix of new, 3D and MKX, with the other 17 ~ 16 being klassics.
 
I'm aware Quan Chi wont make main roster and prolly wont make DLC. So my Hope's have moved to Kotal, and to me it seems like he might not make it.

To me he had to be the most recognizable new character from the last game also a important story figure, and he doesnt event touch the reveal event. I think Kronika will kill him off In story mode early, since Shao Kahn was announced to be in story mode
 
There's no way Kotal is skipping it. Guy had amazing variations, great design, key player in story, great development in comics, and other than the salty Mileena fans was very well received.

Plus, as others have said, it’s odd to have D’Vorah in but not Kotal.
I think that we’ll still get another 3 or 4 non-Trilogy characters in MK11, if they’re going by the MKX roster model.
 
Super happy about D'Vorah! I'd be shocked if both Erron Black and Kotal Kahn didn't make it, honestly. They were well-received and still need a game or two to build a strong fanbase. They all need a few more games, and as a huge Mileena fan, I feel Kotal gives her more storyline potential than she's had in years. Her and Shao returning for vengeance (along with Rain and Tanya) and attempting to re-claim the throne could be a lot of fun. A full-blown Outworld war could be amazing!

Also, I'd love Ferra & Torr but I feel they're going to be dropped. They need at least 1 more game to build a fanbase :(

9 spots left, as Johnny Cage is semi-confirmed at this point.
As for Kotal Kahn and Fujin, I could see Kotal being in and Fujin being relegated to DLC, since it seems to be a similar situation to Tremor for MKX where people asked for him a lot and NRS cashed in on the hype for him.
I was hoping that Fujin would have had a part in the story, but oh well. I'll take DLC Fujin over no Fujin.

Erron was in desperate need of a feature like customization in MKX. It was so dumb how his hat was tied to his variation. Especially with the badass apocalypse costume giving you the sick white suit, but an ugly mini mohawk if you weren't in gunslinger.
 
Nice job on the achievement stuff. Looks indeed like everyone's favourite gay rodeo cowboy (alt costume) is back.
 
I love Jacqui but if there's two characters from MKX besides Cassie and D'Vorah it's Kotal Kahn and Erron Black. So I strongly feel those two are coming back in 11
 
I wish they give us another Deception type of roster where Kitana, kung lao, Jax, Cage, Sonya and Kano all sat out that game

I feel that will not happened due to the high popularity of those characters. It was easier for Ed Boon and his team to experiment with the roster in the early 2000's but with social media and how valued original characters are in fighting games. Leaving out the Big 8 (Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Sonya, Johnny, Kitana, Kung Lao, and Jax) is asking for backlash. The only way I feel we will receive a Deceptions like roster again if God forbid that MK11 sales are awful or Ed Boon has many of the heroes die in MK11. Otherwise the Big 8 will make it in every installment regardless if fans love it or hate it. [MENTION=18905]mandead[/MENTION] lmao but Jacqui is not the Hsu Hao of MKX :hmpf:
