Relatives from the revenants to be playable next game?

The way I see it, Quan Chi giving Sub-Zero a new young body = aging stopped for a while.
In 5 years, Kuai Liang didn't age THAT much.
No need for a son.

The only 1 of the OG7 that maaaaaaaaybe I'd like to see with a son taking his place is Kano, according to his MKX ending.
Aside from that, I REALLY hope that they stop with the kids and just give us more new D'Vorah, Kotal, and Erron types of new characters.

I didn't say he needed a son. Just someone to pass the title on to in the future. And it's not the beard that makes me say Sub Zero is getting old. It's the fact that... he's getting old.

Sonya is getting old, Johnny is getting old, Jax is getting old (and it REALLY shows on him).... The beard has nothing to do with it.
 
What if Liu & Kitana had a son who came from the future? I'd go for that.

That includes Nightwolf having a niece/nephew. After Nightwolf is the first to be revived, the son of Liu & Kitana will assist in providing the sources needed to revive the other revenants living Liu & Kitana to be the last ones to be saved.
 
I'm pretty sure that NRS could say something along the lines of "Cryomancers don't age the same as normal humans" (just like with Edenians), and that would be fine.
Plus, the next games coming out don't have to have another 25-year leap, so it's not like he'll automatically be 75 or 80 years old.
And even if MK11 DID take another 25-year jump, wasn't Shujinko about 80 years old during the time of Deception / Armageddon?

This is starting to sound like the same debate when people thought that Johnny and Sonya wouldn't be in MKX, after Cassie was announced, because "MKX is taking a 25-year leap."
Yet, they are in and playable in MKX.

Unless they get freed in the future, dead people don't procreate.
It's the 1 rule of REAL life that NRS has actually kept in tact, regarding the MK series.

I'm not even sure with this new timeline. Its confusing because in MK9, Kuai and Bi-Han were said to be kidnapped by the Lin Kuei. If so, then who and where were their parents? Then in X, the original leader was a Cryomancer. It leaves a lot of questions than answers in this new canon.

I don't even want Kitana and Liu getting together, let alone having kids. I hope they aren't gonna be the main focus of the next game, and if they are, their asses better get dropped from power asap. On that thought, anybody else find it weird that Kitana is now a higher figure over her mother? Haha
 
As much as I'm not a huge fan of either character, I sorta like to see what they have in plan for them as the new rulers of Netherrealm. Every new threat shouldn't last one game, that is if they're even a threat for the next game. Heck, I think it would be even more interesting if they ruled together NOT as a couple.
 
Can undead in MK even make spawn of their own? Revenants aren't living beings, so I don't think they can reproduce, unless they were to make some unholy ritual first or something like that.
 
Cryomancers don't age as fast as humans. I can see 2 more games of Kuai before someone else takes the name, that is even if they keep doing the 25 year jump.

Also, if someone else takes up the name Sub-Zero, there always must be a Kuai Liang costume or else I will riot.

I don't think that there will be another 25 year jump.

If it wasn't for Cassie, Jin, Takeda and Jacqui being in, I'm pretty sure that MKX wouldn't have taken the 25 year leap, in the first place.
I'm convinced that the whole "25-year jump" thing was so that NRS isn't accused of killing teenagers and children in MKX.
25 year old? Perfectly fine to kill off in a fighting game.
5 year olds, 10 year olds or 15 year olds being killed off with Fatalities in MK games likely = crossing a line with WB.


2 of the things that NRS doesn't do is:

1) kill children or characters that appear to have child-like mannerisms (Ferra).
2) make dead characters procreate.
 
Cryomancers were from Outworld, and Outworld denizens tend to have much longer natural lifespans than Earthrealm peeps.
However, I believe, canonically, it is unknown how long Cryomancers life-spans were. I'd be interested to know as well if there is something that clearly states otherwise.

Plus, we have to ask, even if Cryomancers had long life-spans, how much human blood/genetics have been introduced into Sub-Zero's family? Because this could theoretically have some sort of negative effect on his life-span.

Honestly, it's anyone's guess as to how long he can live.
 
Hmm...
I'm not for Subbie suddenly having a kid, but should that happen, there might be a way for the kid to be in MK11.
Like, if Sareena somehow hooks up with Kuai Liang... the baby would be half-demon spawn and have some Cryomancer genes as well. Perhaps that would for some reason boost the aging process for the kid to appear old enough to fight etc...

Just a bit of fan-theory though, I don't actually want it to happen.
