Kombat pack 3 official thread

NRS plays it too safe in the sense that they will never make Earthrealm the antagonist. It's a great idea, though. But one that will likely never happen.
 
I doubt it's gonna happen because people would throw a fuss over XL not being truly complete (even though it already isn't), but my ideal one would be...

Fujin
Ashrah
Havik
Kabal
 
It does get boring that it's always Outworld or Netherrealm as the main antagonistic realms. I would love to see it switch around and see things from a different perspective. But, the most they'll probably do (if they even do it) is have Raiden lead his own little group to cause problems in the name of "defending Earthrealm". And even then, he'd be more neutral than evil, which would give Mortal Kombat less "good vs evil" tone. And we know they (NRS) love breaking down to a final "light vs dark" scenario, so something like that would be more of a side story that makes way for a different "big bad evil MOFO" from an already established "antagonistic" realm.
 
There's been some theories about a 5th surprise character going around. The people theorizing this came to this from the stage select screen. The random select screen for the stages was filled with the soon to be added Pit stage. The random select is now a small slit underneath that stage.

So finally, they come to the conclusion that the same thing will happen with the random select for the character. We all saw in the latest Tri-borg stream what the select screen looks like with KP2. So, what if that random select box was filled with another character, pushing the random select in to a small button underneath like the new stage select screen?

I doubt this is likely that they would keep a character this secret. But what if this was the case, and they were to surprise us with Fujin, whom we all mostly thought was going to be in KP2. Hopeful thinking probably.

But how do you guys feel about this theory?

Taking that with a grain of salt.

This isn't the first time a theory went around about that random select button...

I'd be pleasantly surprised if it ended up being true, but until I actually see a character in that slot, I'm judging this theory as hype-train conspiracy nonsense.

I was on the fence about that but basically feel the same. It would certainly be nice if it did happen.

Commander kept bringing up the "has anyone unlocked Fujin yet" comment withint Cassie's fatality. I never gave that much more thought than a troll but now it has me thinking. It sounds similar to Cyber Smoke/Rain from MK3. It would be neat if they did something similar to that with MKX.

Again though, its all hype theories but still something I feel worth discussing the possibilities about.
 
I'm actually thinking: would people be really excited about that if it happened, or would we hear more complaints about how "Fujin should have been in the game this whole time...they're jerks for waiting a whole year to add him...blah blah blah".

We know "fans" (I use that term loosely due to controversies on how everyone describes the term) are impossible to please.

I like this theory and it would be great if it came true, but much like [MENTION=20596]kori_ryuu[/MENTION] mentioned, until I see more proof of it I'm being more skeptical.

I'd instantly drop GM Sub-Zero and Ronin Takeda and pick up Fujin as a main.

I'm not convinced either. I thought I'd bring this theory to everyone's attention for the sake of discussion. I mean, I'd like for it to be true but there's no proof. However, we can still see what happened to the stage selection screen. Not denying the possibility either.

That would be something to piss us off in a great laughter of joy, if that's possible.

A character behind the ? would be pretty cool. I'd buy that.

I know. But look how curious it is. Famous players got their favorite characters. Guess it's not too random, right?

Who is the most coherent option? Triborg, a possible what-if copycat of dead Sekor, missing Cyrax, undead unexistent Cyber Smoke, or Fujin, character with absolutely poor development throughout history and once in whole MK story was awesome and people are loudly asking him?

So, I guess SOME will be satisfied, not all. But it all depends on the reason why.
 
Jaquie is the worst new character not ferra torr. She is the worst mk character ever after mokap
 
I feel Jacqui needs something to make her stand out more. She's got potential to being a great character, filling her father's role if he sits some games out. Her concept art with all that flare and what not would helped her too.
 
I never saw a problem with Jacqui. I thought she was a great character. I will agree that she is missing something, but other than that, I wouldn't consider her being a terrible character.
