I thought I may as well combine this into the Kombat Kast thread (hope that's okay?), seeing as I just found out some interesting info: it looks like the Klassic Fatality packs may in fact be free, as well as the Kold War Scorpion costume.

Apparently it's mentioned somewhere on GameSpot as well, but I'm not watching any of their 'news' videos to find out.

I've not been able to find anything about this on the WB website, but if it's true then it's likely going to be mentioned on the Kombat Kast later today. Hopefully both Fatality Packs are free, but it seems odd they'd make one free and then charge for the other.

Rocksteady has a 40$ season pass that doesn't even have all the DLC, I doubt WB would let NRS give out fatalities for free :rofl:
 
Well I mean, they've been giving us free Brutalities with every compatibility patch.. I don't see why Fatalities are off limits when it comes to free content.
 
That would be awesome if the Klassic Fatality packs were free, as I can't stand either of Sonya's lame fatalities in this game.
Dislike the drone for Fatalities. Meh.

I wonder if they will release Gold Scorpion in the future, too. I bought the Blue Steel costume to support the tourney prize pool, and I'd really like to see green and red versions for Reptile and Ermac.

If we do get Kold War Scorpion for free then I'll probably buy the Kold War pack, just so I have them all, and I like the idea of having Kold War Scorpion vs. Tundra Sub-Zero. I didn't want to buy that pack until now because I dislike having incomplete sets =/

I really hope they announce more stuff. I don't want this to be the end of MKX DLC.
 
I would kill for an "Emerald Reptile".
As long as they left in the black skin, don't give him the scales like the UMK3 costume.
 
Predator Warrior variation that has discs that allow for different set-ups and strategies.
Invisible cloak allows him to take less chip damage, EX Cloak allows for 16 seconds of no chip damage. :-D
LOVING IT!!!!


EDIT:

Hunter variation allows him to throw out traps, as well as heal himself.

I like Warrior Predator the most, but it's the one without a mask.

It's Erron Black all over again. F*** variation indicators.
 
So the Klassic Fatalities are basically just glorified Brutalities? They should have modernized them to a certain extent by adding some subtle differences or features to make them appear more gruesome and interesting, because right now they seem pretty incongruous.

Then they'd have to deal with a bunch of whining from annoying fans for not keeping it truly classic.
