There's some really weird lighting on that render indeed.
 
They could have given her a better second fatality but I dig the first one. Look forward to trying her out. Has some interesting moves. I still heavily suggest a classic MK4 or atleast a Deception skin for her though. Those looks were amazing.
 
So, that was Tanya.
Now people can move on to the next DLC character, if they so please. I got what I need though, so have fun with the others. ^^

Same! Though Sonic did express interest in Tanya way back when the DLC characters were announced. Hopefully this is a good match of 'character he likes' with 'top-tier character' -- I would love to see Tanya taking tourneys.

These are people who are winning $10K+ (sometimes more, sometimes less) at Tournaments, though.
Can't say that I blame them, given the prize for winning some of these tournaments.

He's going to use Tanya because she's clearly going to be a threat in the competitive scene. Remember when he said that he would main Mileena? Well, until he found out that she wasn't top tier, of course.
 
Sorry. I'm late. Here's my two cents on the stream:

The X-Ray being her MK:Deception grab is a nice reference, but I'd mostly rather her MK4 grab. Unfortunate. But still badass.

Her Kobu Jutsu is the variation I'll always play. That looks like a seriously good Kombo variation. It's also my favorite weapons. Win win!

That teleport opens up WAY too many possible kombos. I can see it being nerfed and ruining her. Until then, it's still badass and I love it.

I love how the intros are also some that Mr. Ice didn't add! That means that Tanya has more than 2. This makes me even more happy.

Like hoped, the fatalities in this game make up for her terrible fatalities in MK:D. Redeemed her completely. Tanya has literally never been better.
 
Well, as Commander said, they win big cash prizes for winning. I don't blame them for choosing a character that has a higher chance of winning then. That's just common sense.

I do like it when the tournament players get far or even win with unexpected characters though. ^^

If Tanya receives a nerf while characters like Quan Chi & Raiden remain untouched, I'm going to haunt Ed Boon in the afterlife.

God I agree with you so much. What's that supposed to be, the female jason? I hate it. I was hoping they'd bring back an updated MKD/MKA stance.
