100% agree with you. And trust me I would rather have her wear that Lin Kuei Soldier armor than that recycled Sub Zero costume. Cause I am telling you. When I look at Frost in MKX, I think of Sub Zero. I don't wanna think of Sub Zero, when I am looking at Frost.

THIS ^ THIS. Frost has a great potential to become Sub Zero's successor. And for her to become that successor she needs to have her own style, appearance.

I was happy to see Frost make a cameo in MKX but that's literally what it was? She had he ass kicked in 2 hits! I mean she was facing Scorpion so that was the outcome we all should have expected. But it would have been nice to see her show a little more skill in that cameo.
A lot of ppl seem to be upset with her attire. I thought it was actually perfect, considering she is Sub Zero's apprentice/protege! Her voice though was alil too squeaky for my liking.
I honestly hope in the next game if she is in it, she isnt bad perse, just hard to deal with partner. (Hopefully Sub Zero does a better job training her this time around) But i hope she fights for the good, but has a more internal struggle.

I know I've mentioned it before, but I actually really liked this costume for Frost:
It's just so unique, imo. And if she wore something like that and maybe took inspiration from Killer Frost from Injustice or Kula Diamond from King of Fighters when it comes to gameplay (or something entirely different and unique which would be preferable), then I might grow to like her.

Guy (and/or girl) comes into this thread, completely oblivious to the obstacles that Frost has as a character to being taken seriously by the population at large, passively-aggressively dismisses all criticism of the character with choice lines like "haters gonna hate," uses transparently warped logic to make his "arguments," and straight-up puts people who disagree with him (and/or her) on ignore. Which, IMO, is a much worse insult than any swearing would have been. It means that in his estimation I am literally a waste of forum space.
So I will say to you that human beings aren't born with the right not to be called "assclowns." That kind of respect is earned, and this gentleman and/or lady has decidedly not earned it.

Lol It's a little bit embarrassing for them, really. The character has a lot of potential, but NRS is just completely incapable of separating her from Sub Zero.

Well, I got Frost's concept and I circled the differences.
The boot is hard to tell but her ends much sooner in the armoring and has a different end design. Her legs are also less armored and she has less "stuff going on" compared to Sub-Zero. I also think the foot covering is different but I can't find a good and clear picture of Sub-Zero's feet to look at.
FTI - I didn't circle the mask as the changes are very minor. I'm circling her neck area which is very different.
And yes, my paint skills are totally legit!:dong:
Sub-Zero is who she was introduced alongside.
Besides, the comics did give her stuff beyond Sub-Zero and the story makes it clear that Scorpion knows and hates her due to a fight(s) between the clans that the comics hasn't reached yet. I assume she kills Shirai Ryu hence his hate of her.
When MKXI comes out Frost is a shoe-in in my opinion and she will get a proper redesign as she should be on the main roster.
While if she's DLC? She's stuck with what's shown in the story which is different but I understand why some see it as too similar.
I didn't like it, too revealing. I prefer her main as she looks like she belongs in the Lin Kuei.
Not against it, though consider that Sub-Zero or Frost sought the other out and Sub-Zero willingly made Frost his Protege. While Takeda was dropped off on Scorpion and Scorpion took him in only to repay Kenshi. So while I want her to be different she should still have some callbacks to her Sifu.

Yes, and it shows horribly with the third one. Not only is she wearing an identical/extremely similar vest, but they even went a step further to make her identical by taking the mast off, seeing how that's basically the Kuai Liang costume.
It's too much and they need to stop making her look like her teacher. Doesn't matter what differences people can conclude with the outfit she is wearing right now, the overall outfit in general looks too similar and that is a problem to many.

It isn't identical, I literally just showed the differences between them. Only the padded vest and mask are very similar. The other stuff has clear difference between them.

Please re-read the last part of my post and get back with me:
If FIVE users are clearly saying she looks alike, then she looks alike. Ignore the "minor" differences, her overall look is way too similar to Sub-Zero's primary.
Even my boyfriend, who has never played a single Mortal Kombat game, who knows nothing of either of these two characters even said, "Yeah, she looks identical." And this is before I started ranting about the damn issue. So you even have a person who has no idea who anyone is in this game saying that she looks too much like another character.
You can sit here and point out the differences between each other's outfits, but you cannot sit here and tell me that she doesn't look almost identical to Sub-Zero's primary because that is a downright lie and even YOU know that. She's too similar towards Sub-Zero's primary, even her concept art for heaven's sake still has her designed in a way where she still ends up looking like a Sub-Zero duplicate. I'm ignoring every minor change from her outfit and just looking at the overall appearance. They need to stop that with her if they are to ever make her different from Sub-Zero and I'm sure everyone else here agrees on that.
