Rumored "HUGGGGGGE" Leak - Likely Fake (Possible Spoilers!)

Liu Kang is in the game. His Italian voice actor tweeted about it and the tweet has been deleted. You think they'd bring back Jax, Kitana and Kung Lao, but not Liu Kang?

Also, Fujin's arm braces match that ladder model, but Fujin doesn't have a headband and the shaolin pose makes far more sense for Liu Kang.

Same people who denied Sonya, Johnny, Jax, Kenshi, etc, are now denying Liu Kang. Some people just won't accept things without it being spelt out for them.

I f***ing WISH it was Fujin, but I'm not one to delude myself.

Pretty much, this.
As much as I don't care either way for Liu Kang, I can recognize that Liu is way more popular than Jax, Kitana and Kung Lao, and his inclusion in MKX is very likely.
I also wish that it was Fujin, but I think that Fujin (if he does appear in MKX at all) will more than likely be relegated to DLC.

I can be snide and snarky now and then. Just like I make jokes now and then, and I can be serious now and then. It's all part of the rainbow of emotions I have. That's how it is to be as a person who isn't one-dimensional. And this time I just felt like responding in this way, because that is how his post sounded like in my head as I read it.

The point however was to show that there's proof of one character, that being Fujin, being in the game and that guy in the tower could indeed look like him, while the other character, that being Liu Kang, has no evidence of being in the game what so ever. And thus that scenario came to mind.

I find it highly unlikely that the passing of the torch wouldn't include the main protagonist of the series....

Especially when EVERY SINGLE one of the other main protagonists have been brought back.

That's just speculative/presumptuous, though. I've come to learn Incubuslord only deals in stone cold, black-and-white, facts.

Who would he pass it on to though?

When it comes to leaks and character confirmation, yes.
Speculation is alright, but assumptions aren't. And so far, it just seems like it's more likely Fujin than Liu Kang. That said, it doesn't mean Liu Kang won't be in the game.

Here in Brazil, we have a saying: "The worst kind of blind people, is the one who doesn´t want to see."

Dunno; of the possibilities we have;

1) Fire God Lui Kang becomes the Raiden of this group, because he doesn't trust Raiden after MK9.

2) Fire God Lui Kang becomes the main villain due to his attempt to kill Raiden, but Johnny/Sonya get in the way and LK kills them.

3) Lui Kang tries to kill Raiden as the final boss and is killed in the attempt.

4) Kitanna becomes the empress of Outworld, LK marries her, they have a kid and the kid is a major player in MK11.

He doesn't necessarily have to be passing a torch in order to be there for the ceremony.

Yeah, exactly. "Ignorance is bliss", as I've learnt it, but it basically means the same thing.
It's odd how many want Liu Kang to make an appearance in MKX. He most likely will in one way or the other, but I never thought he was that popular a character. Especially not more than Fujin, at least. Or maybe those who like Liu Kang are just being more vocal

Any of these scenarios could be plausible... thing is, I haven't seen any signs of any of it being an actuality.

I believe you've been hanging around the hardcore MK online forums too much. Liu Kang fans are a minority here because a lot of long-time fans (myself included) are tired of him. But casuals, on the other hand... most of them don't even know what a Fujin is and Liu is an icon that they'll instantly recognize. Casuals tend to like what they're most familiar with. The vocal minority is actually us (meaning the online forum MK community). There's a reason the top 4 most popular characters online in MK9 are the top 4 most iconic in the series.

Heh, I tend to pick 1 forum to discuss MK and then stick to it, and yeah, it's usually with mostly hardcore MK fans, so you can be absolutely right about that. XD

Where would one go to chat with the more causal crowd about these things though?

I honestly don't even know who Fujin is other than he has a small bit in the comics XD

You've never played MK4 and MK Armageddon?
He hasn't been in many games, but he's one of those characters that has gained a large following despite that, and is overall well-liked by the majority of the community.

Does this leak tell any thing about the story or just about the roster. I didn't read it or any replies

Nah, I played Mk 1-3 when I was like 6-8, kinda stopped paying attention to it and recently came back into it with MK9.

Agreed.

Even though Fujin was only in 2 games in the old timeline, he's up there in popularity with Kenshi, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Reiko, Havik and Tanya.
The only reason why Quan Chi or Shinnok seem to be more popular is due to their more recent appearance in MK9 and Quan Chi's cameo in MKvsDC.
Fujin was supposed to be in MK9, as sound files for the character have proven in a hack of the game, but he was never put in MK9.

No actual story info. Just a list of cameos/NPCs, which NPCs you can fight, and the number of character deaths.

But most feel that the leak is BS.

Am surprised by how many people have read it. How can you enjoy a story if you know what will happen

Eeks, that rumor of Quan Chi getting killed :s I can see it happening tho, makes perfect sense to do so.

Quan Chi is the biggest back stabber in the series, and he's got out of so many situations where he should've been killed. It's time. when he dies it will be a powerful moment, and it will change the story drastically without him. But then again it is Mk, so he might just come back.

This is coming from A Quan chi fan, can't wait to play him and main him.
