So every leak Boon hasn't commented on is automatically right? Gee, that's a lot of contradictory info! Guess every character people ask Boon to confirm/deconfirm is automatically confirmed as well, then? Boon doesn't remark on everything people ask him about.
This whole "leak" is nothing but educated guesses and wish fulfillment. I could say Liu Kang is the unlockable character, and I could also say Scorpion and Sub-Zero merge together to become Composite Scorpion. The former coming true doesn't make the latter true. Correlation is not causation.

I don't remember the MK9 leak as I wasn't online back then (it was during a period in my life in which I had a lot of things to worry about and couldn't be around for forums), but didn't it happen when copies of the game were floating around? And I don't mean merely retail copies, I mean pre-loads to hack and copies for magazines and websites. If that's the case, I'll add that it is a very different situation from an insider leak. You will see leaks in the coming weeks, but those will come from copies, not from a worker willing to get his ass screwed up.
A worker may be a hardcore fan, but I'll tell you again: not even a hardcore fan under a contract would risk getting effed up for the sake of others knowing about the game. The person I know who worked/works for Rockstar Games is a hardcore GTA fan and he would never leak information, even if he was feeling excited for others to know about certain details. That's his food he's risking, and a bunch of impatient kids aren't worth it. Online glory isn't worth it. But it IS worth it for a kid in need of attention, the kind of kid that has time to create "leaks". People usually have a very "romantic" vision of what it is to work for a gaming company and/or being friend to someone who works there, but let me tell you: it isn't like that.

Ive even asked multiple times if he has deconfirmed them yet, as he has done others in the past. So far, No.
Does that mean the leak is true? No, neither does it mean its false...
That implies that you think some of the info in the leaks are not as likely as others and therefore false all around.
So what info in the leaks do you think arent as likely as others?

Right, the bunch of others wrong with the leak means it false. And you didn't say it, but you were certainly heading into that kind of territory.
The story details. The deaths. The huge number of alts. Much more than I think is right, which are all pretty much ideas that didn't originate with this leak.

Not only that, but we're less than a month from the game's release. It's only logical that a "leak" would sound plausible.
If you gather the amount of info we already know and stuff we can deduce, there's no way anyone would come up with a "leak" saying that Hotaru is in the in-game roster and that Jax isn't. Even some of the stage stuff seems to be deduced, as I can easily point out from where the idea of a "Shao Kahn Tomb" came (seems like someone forgot what a tomb is and what happened to Shao Kahn, though). We know a lot of stuff, and the achievements showed us even more. It's only logical that it would sound plausible even if not true. And it's only convenient that such "leak" appeared after all that info was confirmed.
As I said, I don't have any reason to lose any sleep over it if it's true. What I don't get, though, is why this is receiving so much credit when we saw the old "lulz I know someone who works for (x)" talk so many times before, and we know how it usually ends.

I like the theory that the one everyone thought was Liu Kang in the tower could be Fujin. I'd prefer that. We've seen Fujin being in the game, and no sign of Liu Kang, so it could indeed be Fujin. ^^
i'm not sure abut ferra/torr death but d'vorah is possible and cage death could be twist instead of sonya i i coukd see them killing of mileena and have kitana take her place as queen of outworld along with liu as the emperor
that stone statue is most likely liu kang and the reason why we haven't heard anything about liu kang yet is becuause maybe he is the unlockable after beating the story and nrs dont want to spoil him at all

I still have no doubt that Liu is in the game though.
Plus, even with the gaunlets and such looking identical to fujin, that pose IS much more akin to Liu, than Fujin...as the other pic comparison showed.
But we'll see...

I dont put it past NRS to kill off noobs.
Cannot believe nobody brought this up: all his arenas are either confirmed, seen in trailers or in the latest achievement leaks. There already some clear omissions: the training arena at Special Forces hq, the other Special forces arena (faction background) and I believe another was seen that is not in that list. Then there is the likelihood of other arenas making it, like where the fight between Kotal and Mileena takes place in Outworld. Another reason this is bullshit.

He just listed a possibility as to why we might not have heard much on him.
It may be true or it may not be true.
It's not completely out of the realm of impossibility that NRS / Boon wouldn't want to spoil certain secrets like unlockable characters in MKX.

I would say that the difference is there is no guy with the shovel in MK. There is no one else who is a likely candidate for inclusion at this point. It's certainly not Fujin, because people who've played the demo said that he looked/felt like an unplayable character.

Liu Kang is in the game. His Italian voice actor tweeted about it and the tweet has been deleted. You think they'd bring back Jax, Kitana and Kung Lao, but not Liu Kang?
Also, Fujin's arm braces match that ladder model, but Fujin doesn't have a headband and the shaolin pose makes far more sense for Liu Kang.
Same people who denied Sonya, Johnny, Jax, Kenshi, etc, are now denying Liu Kang. Some people just won't accept things without it being spelt out for them.
I f***ing WISH it was Fujin, but I'm not one to delude myself.

I can be snide and snarky now and then. Just like I make jokes now and then, and I can be serious now and then. It's all part of the rainbow of emotions I have. That's how it is to be as a person who isn't one-dimensional. And this time I just felt like responding in this way, because that is how his post sounded like in my head as I read it.
The point however was to show that there's proof of one character, that being Fujin, being in the game and that guy in the tower could indeed look like him, while the other character, that being Liu Kang, has no evidence of being in the game what so ever. And thus that scenario came to mind.
