LOL it would be cool is MKX has QTE fatalities, like if you dont press a button mileena throws a lethal sai at you. Would be funny to see. I would die on purpose.
 
Injustice had QTE events in story mode as well, nobody remembers them because they weren't a big deal.
 
If it's the style of Resident Evil, sometimes it's not too cheesy.

The thing it's because it fits better with adventure games, because you put the QTE right together with the movement.

For MKX, who is basically movie and fights, it may look cheesy or not.
 
Keep in mind guys Adam Urbano said "sort of" like quick time events. It might not mean actual QTEs, but something similar. We'll see.

Can't remember resident evil 5, but have you played RE4?

Like the time Krauser confronts Leon in that warehouse type building, And you constantly have to dodge knife and strike attacks by pressing buttons that appear during a cutscene? Ahh that was great.

But I hope for a concrete story, don't want nothing to be left debated by having choices to be made. It works RPGS (ME123, Elder scrolls)
 
Last time I cared for QTEs was with Shenmue. I hope it doesn't get ridiculous with distracting QTEs when I just want to enjoy the story like in MK9.
 
Hmm, these interactive cutscenes. So maybe they'll be God of War type QTEs like many of us are expecting, but maybe their consequences are more interesting than just health related. Perhaps this is the way the story mode will let us choose our variations for the upcoming fight. That'd be pretty cool right?

Maybe they're not even the QTE's we're expecting, but more like dialogue options in Dragon Age? Obviously not as sophisticated, but the dialogue choice could decide your variation. So Kano provokes Cassie and her most aggressive reply equals Brawler?

Yes, I did! So is also that fight against Saddler when you are playing with Ada (separate ways).

RE5 had lots, when Chris punches THE boulder (just LOL) or Sheva to get up from the cliff on THE fight against Wesker. There is that one running on the Temple (where both pass through the door crosaed in the air). And the most boring: that onde against the giant.

It's because I never knew that was called QTE. The way he said it was like multiple choice actions!
 
I personally don't mind QTE's. It can be fun now and then. And I kinda like if you can go down different paths in Story Mode and unlock different outcomes. It gives the Story Mode some replay value, trying to unlock each path and such, to see what happens if you do things differently.

What I don't like is if the QTE's and the different paths are unlocked per chance. Like, if you do good on a QTE, you unlock one thing, but if you suck at it, you unlock another. That would suck, imo. My reactive reflexes aren't all that great (one if the reasons I suck at playing online), so if I need to hit a button perfectly 10 times in a row to unlock a certain path, I'd have to make several attempts before I might get it.

So hopefully, it won't come to that.
 
I dont think its going to be like Injustice! I think its going to be like TWD, lets say Scorpion & Kenshi both need your help, which one will you team up with? Choose Scorpion & ????? Dies Choose Kenshi & Bad guy will return for a difficult battle with you in low health, & ????? Will die, but if you win ????? & ????? Will be Unlocked (saved)

You guys get what i mean?
