Nice job trying to generalize my previous post. All I want in MK are the BEST elements of MK, regardless of what era they came from. It's not MY fault the 3D Era didn't live up to the same level as the Arcade Era.

1. Sonya killed by Kano, making Cassie and Johnny mournful and angry.

2. Frost killed by Cassie.

3. The main boss killed by any or all the heroes.
 
There are rarely any times In MK game where a death scene for a character even feels like an incident. Mk9 had death scenes and they were so uninspured they didn't even feel like they were "canon" to the story. At least with Deadly Alliance Liu Kang's death felt tragic to the heroes.

If they are even going to bother attempting to pretend to kill off characters that will just return later on because nobody will care for their children, I hope there is a bit more emotional value coming out of it.
 
I thought this thread was about a character named "Death".

That being said, there was no build up that lead to the deaths of characters in MK9, losing the impact of the event. The Sindel massacre in particularly felt forced.

Speak for yourself.
I hope that all the parents in MKX get killed off, so that their children can take up the mantle in MKXI.
Jax, Johnny, Sonya and Kenshi don't need to be in future MKX games for a while if characters like Jacqui, Cassie and Takeda are in the future games, continuing from where their parents left off.
I don't mind MKX being the transitional game between old and new, if it means that the new ones will continue on afterwards.

They can keep it as death free as possible. It makes no sense to kill people when they can easily return in the next game.
That being said, I hope they kill off anyone who's passing the mantle. Scorpion and Subzero don't age (Subz has a long lifespan) and there are many other characters who can survive up to 1000s of years. I just hope the humans like Sonya, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, The current black dragon members (Excluding Erron), Jax, Stryker, and Kabal (atleast after MK11) all die or get crippled and never return again as a playable character (Unless they do alternate universes and such).
 
Ill make a list of the existing characters: the confirmed ones, the semi confirmed and those from the comics and classify them.

Many can die by violence however the many long lifespan characters can return in future games with no problem. But who knows? perhaps MK11 is set just 3 years after MKX so most of them can return, except for those who have kids to replace them.

I don't see the new children catching on. Jax, johnny, sonya will all be back. The casual fans will want the familiarity of those characters.

We really don't know much about Erron Black, as far as his race, lifespan or anything else like that is concerned, so he could also fall into either the "Almost Immortal" or Immortal" categories, depending on how long he has been around for.

You're right I just assumed he was human, because of the american cowboy look and the fact that he uses guns instead o magic (he could use both, but it would be stupid).

I doubt he could be immortal but there's no proof against him being a mortal with a very long lifespan.

mokap and meat are not in the game according to twitter, uncagedgamez made a video on youtube about it 3-4 days ago. Though it doesn't go into detail, maybe a cameo, but I doubt them in any form.
 
No way a female character is taking Quan Chi down unless she's getting help, Scorpion has to do this!. QC is way too badass for a death like that at the hands of that sareena or whatever her name is or any other female. This guy is a sorcerer and way too smart. I think he'd have to get jumped.

You know what's funny? A lot of people who have that sort of mentality end up reversing what they say later on. I am NOT saying this will happen with you, but I hear it all the time. It has been happening a lot recently with shooting games, some people were tired of World War 2, now everything is current/futuristic setting and those same people want to go back to world war 2 lol. Again, NOT saying you are one of those, just think its funny how like minded people change their mind after a while.

I'm sorry but I can't stand that guy, I tried watching a couple of his videos and he says the most outlandish shit without much proof or backup to his theories.

However I think Jaeroar is MUUUCH worse about that, using clickbait titles and thumbnails.

Jeez commander in every thread talking about new characters! Who cares! I play mortal kombat partially cause I like the characters why get rid of them! Shit I don't hear people composing about having Mario being killed of and using his kid to replace him. Just makes no sense.
