One thing I don't like about the comic is that most characters that won't appear in the game don't have new costumes... I mean, its not that hard to change Rains, Reiko's, Tasia's or Jareks costumes right?

Ohhh ok I didn't realize that Frost was a new character....
Also half of those names are fodder at best.
Hsu Hao - died in the comic and you're complaining about it? Not only that but you're complaining that it's too obvious that a character died semi recently in the lead up to the games release won't return? (Sigh)
Reiko - Considering the role that he has had thus far in the comic it's asinine to completely rule him out at this point.
Rain - After this weeks chapter you can safely say the odds are against him not to be included but that has more to do with what actually took place in the chapter and not what he was wearing.
Mavado - Can't really rule him out yet at least not completely considering how "involved" the red dragon has been thus far. (In my opinion he's pretty likely to be a NPC)
Jarek - And you're complaining about this? To be fair Jarek can be ruled out quicker by his popularity more so than what his attire is.

I agree with you as far as Stryker goes.
As for Johnny Cage, he's had super powers since MK1.
The green energy projectile and Shadow Kick are moves that I haven't seen any real human do in real life.
And yeah, film, games and comics are 3 different mediums, especially the latter 2 (comics and games), where magical powers and strange occurrences are an every day thing and very common.
Whereas in the MK1 film, they went with a mix of realism for Johnny, Sonya, Kano and Liu Kang, but a magical powers approach for Raiden, Sub-Zero and Scorpion, despite the fact that all 7 characters had magical powers in MK1

I don't see why Rekio can't have the same outfit that he has in the comic in MKX? Characters can reuse character designs before like Quan Chi in MK9. Rekio having a major role in the Civil War makes me think that he has a 95% chance on being in the game.

Doesn't mean anything in my opinion. Comics are there to keep us hyped for the game, not to tell us who's in the game. He might die in the next chapter or he could rise to be the emperor of outworld. We don't really know.

Reiko could very well be in the game, but not be a playable character. If he was, I highly doubt they wouldn't re-design his outfit, although you bring up a valid point with Quan Chi.
The comic writers have a lot more freedom than people realize. Reiko could be an incentive for people to continue reading the comic.

I mean, to be fair, Boon and others have stated on multiple occasions that being in the comic doesn't guarantee they are in the game, and there will be characters in the story mode of the game that aren't on the roster either.
Until they officially announce who is on the roster, anyone is fair game.

Don't you guys get it? Costumes that our favorites are wearing determines the fate of whether they're in the game or not.
I mean, surely Reiko can't be in the game because he's wearing Armageddon appeal. Frost can't be in the game because she's wearing "generic" material.

Don't forget Kenshi in MK9, he has the same outfit he has in MKA and in the MKX comic he uses it again and he has very good chances of being in the game.
So just like G-Spawn said, wearing an old outfit doesn't mean he/she is not in the game.
