Yeah, I don't know why he or she is taking up issue with these so called SJWs. The fans simply wanted NRS to take the females more seriously or as seriously as the males this time. SJWs would talk about violence against women. o_0

Ninja-like? Yes.
Princess-like? Not so much. I think her MKX outfit is a nice blend of the two. I'm not exactly asking for Princess Zelda type attire...maybe outside of Kombat, that would be practical.

I agree that it looks very Dead or Alive. It wouldn't fit Kitana in my opinion. It's just too delicate. I could see it on Li Mei though.

Kitana needs to embrace the fact that she's a badass ninja assasin who would chop down anyone who opposes her. Why should a warrior princess feel the need to wear bedazzled jewelry and robes?

Because people of Royalty generally wear more decorated clothing, and last time I checked, Kitana is a woman of Royalty.

i always thought of Kitana as a princess 1st and assassin 2nd.
Her costume now is a perfect blend of the two IMO.
LET SCARLETT go full ninja warrior.

Being a fantasy roleplayer, I see these kind of things in certain classes. To me, a warrior is someone clad in heavy armour and wielding heavy weapons and shields. A knight or a samurai, for instance. Kitana is raised to use the shadows for her benefit, to strike at weak spots to gain the upper hand in combat, like a rogue or an assassin.

However, stepping out of that mindset, yes, Kitana is indeed a warrior. However, she is not one to wear heavy armour and use heavy weapons and shields, because that is not how she was trained. Her discipline, her art of fighting is alot different, so she has absolutely no reason to start acting like someone she isn't and start fighting in a way she does not know how, when she already knows an alot more efficient way of killing people.

... Actually another reason why I think giving her Jade's staff is rather stupid. But I can somewhat accept it, as she and Jade trained alongside one another all their lives. I mean, Jade can fight with fans as well, so I can accept that Kitana also knows how to wield a staff.

I agree that Kitana is someone that relies on finesse more than brute force. However, RPG classifications don't fit comfortably in the context of MK. They are too simple or rigid to make sense in most fighting games for that matter. I mean, the Lin Kuei are supposed to be assigns, but Sektor seems to be fond of overpowering opponents with loud explosive weaponry.
