Frost working for Kotal Khan? Lol. Mate you don't really know her do you? That's the one who was stupid enough to freeze herself with her own powers. And just because she got over her head with dragon medallion. I can tell already that they put her here just to kill her off. Same as Hsu Hao
P.S Also that hairstyle for Frost... godawful.
Lol, yeah, she is doomed. I was just trying to be positive. I never liked the character, but admittedly, I'm not a fan of repetitive skill-sets on the same roster.
They could have her made unique pretty easily, but it seems they just want to bury her as fast as possible. Also another sign she is gonna die. This chapter and another upcoming one is called CAGED. For obvious reasons it represents Cassie's fight in cage and also I GUARANTEE she is going to say "you got CAGED" (after she will kill Frost).
I predict that after killing Frost, Cassie might get some sort of PTSD, and might come back to base. Or actually Sonya will rescue her as I also get a feeling that after killing Frost, top guys of this event might not want to let Cassie go. Either way. Frost is destined to get "caged" here. So all Frost haters can finally relax.
How original and necessary of them. Does she speak "jive" too and is really "groovy"?
Just saw the preview... Uh, well. I think I'm regretting saying that I wish they wouldn't include Jax. That's the best they could do with a new character. Related to Jax, called "Jacqui" and knows kickboxing. Yup, that's it, what an awesome and exciting new character. Here's hoping she's just part of the comics.
My thoughts exactly. Not claiming that Mortal Kombat is racist or anything but the way Jax spoke was way too stereotypical of African Americans. I just recently graduated from college and many of them happened to be in the same department as me (social work) and virtually none of them spoke like he did in previous games. I can only hope that Jaqui doesn't call herself stuff like "one foxy mama" or something. Video games have a knack for sticking to stereotypes and it becomes offensive, honestly. This is Mortal Kombat, not Grand Theft Auto.
Salazar is a different character as far as I'm concerned. I don't see the connection at all.
Uh I'm black and I don't findJax stereotypical. That grand theft auto is more racist than anything Jax related. Also, you've only met black people in college? My thoughts exactly. Thought that issue was terrible. Cassie as of now isn't interesting, the dialog was awful, and it's just complete set up for the next issue. What was that even about with Raiden at the sky temple? The only thing I liked was to hear Mileena is playing a bigger role in out world. After the death match, things might take a more interesting turn for Cassie but as of now, she's just a female Johnny Cage.
So, Jax saying "Awww, yeah" and "I guess all dem extra arms don't make a difference" didn't sound a bit stereotypical to you? If not, cool, I'm just saying what it sounded like to me. I never said I only met black people in college. However, it was when I was around the most in my life. I'm from a really small town in Canada so I hadn't met many people other than white or Native until I was 17-years old, which was when I had the chance to finally move.
I find this all very interesting... unless he dies next issueReally?
-Works for Kotal Kahn? Check.
-Looks just like like he might native to Earthrealm, with his more human looks and huge amounts of firearms? Check.
-Has a cowboy look that would fit with Salazar being described as probably American, as well as a guy who's been wandering Outworld for years? Check.
-Is quiet and reserved like Salazar? Check.
-Is some sort of weapons expert? Once again, with all of those firearms... check.
That is a lot of similarities, especially for two guys who both work for Kotal Kahn.
