Guess the next character!

Salazar is what my gut is telling me. We haven't seen any new characters since E3 and this weapon looks like nothing that we seen from the past MK characters. As someone pointed on MKO that the image could be link to boot image #6.

Ed Boon said the boots are a mix of old and new.

This makes me think he is holding a scythe, perhaps?

The bow and armor really do look like something a guy wandering around Outworld would scavenge from creatures' bones, too.

Everytime a new character appears, it seems they will explore A LOT Outworld's civil war.

This looks some native/tribal designed weapon.

Story development is reaching unbelievable richness.

Excellent point! I'm kinda on board with everyone saying this might be Salazar.
As far as the weapon.. I don't really think it looks like a scythe. Why have the grip in the middle for one hand only? Makes no sense. Looks like a really long bow.

I also doubt it's Nightwolf since it looks like he is wearing armor going by the image. Nightwolf is not the type of person who would wear armor.

Hopefully it won't be Nightwolf. That would be the dumbest thing ever.

Still, if it is Salazar, isn't he just a Nightwolf clone just like Kotal? I mean, not directly, but the similarities are there...

A character with a bow and arrow? It's probably some new character, I guess, unless Ed Boon upgraded one of the characters with a bow and arrow.

Because he uses a bow? And possibly a longbow at that? I don't think using a weapon Nightwolf uses for one attack is much of a rip-off...

Agreed.
Plus, Nightwolf summoned a bow and arrow out of green energy, which isn't the case here.

It's not about the weapon, but character type. Kotal basically is the new Nightwolf... and Salazar could very well be as well. Sure, Indian native vs Aztec/tribal character is not a direct rip-off, but it's there. You don't have to go far to look for it. Even design-wise. Ie if they wanted this kind of character in MKX they could've just kept Nightwolf himself instead of killing him off. But I'm glad they did. Kotal is miles better.
