Kitana Revealed!

anyone noticed just how flat kitana looks in-game compared to the render?
it might because i was watching it on my phone but this is not the first time it happened

We don't have that much to go off of. And we still have at least two more months (because I doubt they're going to release anything in April before the release) of news.

I feel like they're just getting all the returning out of the way to make a few new characters' debuts to be more intriguing. We've already stopped talking about the ones we have already or at least not as much as the returning.

Give it time, we'll obviously have something to talk about and get our reasons.

Possible, but it doesn't make it any less annoying that they could have resorted to a cop-out (or possibly a retcon) to achieve that.
I negates the MK9 story (which was good, and a bold move by NRS) and cheapens it.

All these returning characters just makes me doubt the inclusion of any other new characters, and it makes me wonder whether or not they went back on their word, or if Kotal Kahn, D'Vorah, Ferra/ Torr and Cassie will be the few new characters.
It feels like it'll be those 4 new ones and maybe 1 or 2 more, given the direction that they are going with these reveals.
It's easy to see where someone would lose hope for other new characters even appearing when all that's been revealed as new is Raiden, Kano, Kung Lao and Kitana (which were all in MK9), and nothing else since E3.

Hopefully.
At least you're someone sensible who doesn't look down on other opinions, and treat them like garbage.

i see your point but remember what happened in that first trailer where they showed new characters
a lot of people hated it and went apeshit
i dont think NRS are going to contradict their "more new characters than in any of the previous games" statements, they're just not showing them as of yet
 
Just give it time, mate.

And if it turns out to be a disappointing reason as to why and how they came back and no one likes it, well, at least you have bragging rights then. :wiggle:

Still a good chance at being DLC at least. Reptile has been in nearly every MK. MK1-5, was kinda in Deception when Onaga possessed his body. Back for Armageddon like everyone, but missed out in MKvsDC.
 
The digital series technically spoiled a few more new characters, and it's safe to assume that Kenshi's son will be in the game, looking at the comic. There are new characters still, just not to the extent we had predicted and hoped, it seems. I, for one, was hoping they'd expand on all the other realms, but I realize that's my own fault.

With 11 characters revealed so far (I'm not including Goro since he is DLC), we have around 13-18 (we don't know the roster number, but it's likely 24+) left. 7 of those characters are from MK 9, with hints at Mileena, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Kenshi, Johnny Cage, etc. (this doesn't even include popular survivors that stand a good chance of appearing such as Ermac, Reptile, Cyrax and Sektor) Half the roster is likely going to be from MK 9, which is a little disappointing because it leaves so little room for post MK 3 characters AND new characters.
 
Her fatality is kind of similar to her mk9 fatality. She cuts a section of the arms of then a section(s) of the head. Only difference is it's prettier, she's on top of the opponent and they're on the ground.
 
Did you notice the good animation? At 0:23 when she finishes her pose she makes an "ah" sound.

Her eyes lifts and her mouth opens. That's pretty well animated.

And good thinking. Some kind of...taunt or threat.

Edit: also, notice the music sound when she kills Kano. Reminds me of Mystique appearances on X-Men lol.

According to this, I'm guessing that NRS retconned Kabal, Smoke, Nightwolf, Jade, Liu Kang, Sindel and Stryker too.

I don't think a retcon happen. I guess that they break free out of control early on in the game and Kung Lao went off on his way after returning back to normal in the story mode. I guess 25 years later, Raiden has asked Kung Lao on what happen to him. If Ermac does return in the game then I wonder if he will help Raiden free everyone from Quan Chi's control? He help Liu Kang break Kung Lao, Jax, Jonny Cage, Sonya and Kitana out of Oanga's control in the original timeline.

The trousers are inspired by the original depiction of a ninja garment, where yes, it was open at the outer parts of the thighs. However, the traditional ninja would wear undergarmets that covered the whole leg, but it is not atypical for female ninja characters to show skin instead.

Ibuki from Street Fighter wears them as well:

i get what theyre going for but as a design from the waist down its not very ascetically pleasing. its a shame cause the top half is great
