these comics better not be an excuse to not include Shinnok in mkx.

oh and has anyone posted the rest of the part of the comic anywhere? im sure it was more than those couple pages.

The confusion with which Sub Zero we're seeing, how Scorpion found a way to control his rage, Kenshi and his relationship with Sonya/Special Forces... These things should have been explained a bit more. At the moment, it's hard for to me really love the comic when nothing makes sense. But it's only issue one... So I'll give it some time. The writing isn't that great. There's some really cheesy lines in there. And again, everything is far too vague for its own good.

Loved seeing Hsu Hao get f***** up, though. lol

Pretty much how I feel. It's very clear that the creators don't want to get away from the campiness which I think sucks. It's tough to take any story seriously when it gets stupidly cheesy. I'm fine with it being self aware in its brutality but always hate bad dialog.
 
That was very well written and i am really satisfied with what we have gotten, not to mention the art is amazing. I really can't wait for the second part of the chapter, especially seeing how even obscure and unpopular characters like Hsu Hao were put to good use and he looks great too. Dat Kano appearance at the end was so amazing! He's one sick mf :twisted:
 
Very interesting start thus far. I like how the comics show as well as gonna pull some closures to those kombatants that either have little to no appearance in importance or we just don't care about. Also very interesting direction for Hanzo, seeing that he no longers guided by vengeance and no longer manipulated by Quan Chi.

If Kano's the reason for Kuai Liang's (assuming that Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang) eye scar, then he is already getting more importance than he did in the previous 5 games :twisted: And it's refreshing that he is getting to do more than just being followed around by Sonya Blade, although i am hoping their rivalry still exists. Also it seems like he's going to be involved in the main plot, at least in the comics.

So:
1) the war with Netherealm is over
2) Kenshi was able to clean Hanzo's soul
3) Younger Sub-Zero is alive again
1+2+3=Quan Chi most likely dies and souls he once controlled are back in the world of living
4) Red Dragon returns - Hsu Hao, Daegon & Mavado, likely means Armageddon events still exists, and one of them (Daegon probably) will make it into the game perhaps.
 
What if Deagon really is the main boss? The more I think about it... The main reason I think it will happen is because he very much resembles Shao Kahn and Shao Kahn, well... is probably the most known MK villain along with Shang being 2nd and Quan/Shinnok being on par 3rd. If they want MKX to sell, they'll likely pick someone who looks familiar. It can't be Shao Kahn who's god knows where, but it could be Daegon. And it can't be Quan-Chi and Shinnok either, because these two will likely die in the first half of the story. So Daegon could very well be it. Plus it would allow them to somewhat include Armageddon in it without completely deleting it.
 
I think we are looking at two possibilities:
Daegon and Red Dragon are the villains for the prequel comic and get defeated/killed before MKX releases OR they are being built up in the comic to be the villains in the last part of MKX.

To me it seems more likely that they are here for the prequel comic, because if Daegon is the boss his backstory needs to be built up in MKX, not some prequel comic.
They need some enemies and kills in the prequel comic, but they can't use the same characters they will use on the MKX story mode. That might be why they got Red Dragon in the comic.
But who knows.

The Red Dragon will not be the main villains of MKX. Daegon will not be the boss. There's no way NRS would allow the comic writer to just reveal that in issue one.

They're going to be one of the big villainous groups of the comic series and that's it. I'm almost 100% on this.

I have to agree, also, it was said the main villain was a good boy...
 
Guys,

I'm guessing and I'm confident that the subzero in game is bi han .Yes Lang has been revived somehow but I don't think he will make it into MKX ..looks like Noob saibot will be cleansed and Bi Han will return as subzero
