One post-MK4 character was confirmed, no? Replace a MK4 character with Havik/Sareena. And someone from MK2-3 should return too...

If you want to count guest characters then Ed Boon already said Kratos, DC characters and Capcom characters won't be guest characters. He already said no to Lara Croft and Caesar from Dawn of Planet of the Apes.

There was a rumor a while back that Liu Kang and Kitana. That was the same rumor of 8 MK9 and 8 MK4-MKA characters being in the game which we know is now false. Kitana could come back back anytime during the 25 year span and there's no proof that Liu Kang is dead. I still believe he was put in a coma after MK9.
The roster has 24 slots on the select screen right now. MK9 had 32 playable characters, including Kratos and the DLC; will the MKX roster match or exceed this?

I can see there being more dlc characters this time around judging by their dlc success with MK9 and their amount of dlc in Injustice.

Injustice had six DLC then I hope MKX will have the same amount. I would like to see another character based on a rumor or a character originally made for a previous MK game.

I say 24 characters with 4 dlc. NRS is talking a big game but with all of the variations I just don't think they will be able to do that many characters as they say are saying.

Variations aren't that big of a deal. You just create a character, create their special moves and then divide them lol. Most variations only have about 1 or 2 unique specials anyway.
Just look at Martian Manhunter in Injustice. That dude's movelist goes on for days.

Kira will never likely be in the game unless she's DLC. Same goes with Li Mei and I think Tanya has a better chance being on the main roster then being DLC.
