Ed Boon confirms, no reveals at Comic-Con

You ever read an Invincible comic? It can get pretty violent.

The violence Invincible comics was also put on display at a public venue, where people also go with their children???
Didn't think so.

Comic-con and other comic book conventions also have people that go with little kids.
This is coming from someone who when to a local convention dressed up as Cobra Commander, where I took more pictures in the Cobra Commander costume with the kids than I ever did with their parents or any other adults.

Not Scorpion's MK X fatality and Cassie Cage's X-Ray testicle explosion levels of violence, yo.
There's a good reason that they didn't even show it at E3, because the ESRB would be all over them.

You obviously don't read comics, yo

MK X isn't comic gore.
I'm pretty sure that realistic gore like that isn't going to be shown at a place where there are kids.

As far as I'm concerned, people should not fret over exposing children to "simulated blood and gore" such as in Comics/Video Games/Anime/etc.

Alas, that is not how the world works these days and parents need every excuse to make sure they're not responsible for their child turning into a serial killer...

But that's a whole 'nother topic

Why not just set up a booth that you can't see into, with a big old "must be over 18 to enter" sign and boom, problem solved?

Last time I remember, MK9 was shown at the Comic Con in 2010 and 2011. So violence is not a issue.

The violence level is much higher this time.
NRS probably doesn't want people jumping on the ESRB wagon, especially with how they censored Scorpion's Fatality and Cassies testicle X-Ray at E3.

^^Actually, it is not, at that point, MK9 had people getting lowered into acid, Mileena biting her opponent's head of and who could forget Kung Lao's buzzsaw... Honestly, I don't think this is a question of violence.

Today is Friday,July 25th,the day of the San Diego's ComicCon event,I hope that ED BOON changes his mind & reconsider revealing any Mortal Kombat X characters there,so the Mortal Kombat fans & fanatics can find out "WHO'S NEXT?"

I don't mind if we don't get a new character this week. Some new gameplay with Raiden vs. the previously announced characters would be more than enough for me.

Or even some new info about the story or game modes with some screenshots would do it, just give us something new please.

I'd love to see Raiden's select screen animation and select screen icon.

I love all the little details that are being put into MK X, even something so miniscule as the select screen when the characters are selected.
Sub-Zero smashes ice in his hands.
Scorpions' eyes light up with fire.
D'Vorah flies toward the screen with her wings.
etc, etc, etc, etc.......

I wouldn't mind seeing the minuscule things either, but I feel like those things hardly get appreciated or overlooked too easily. A person who has a degree in animation, I enjoy seeing those kinds of things and anxiously await when I can do something like that for a full-time job.

TO:ED BOON-Gamescom is coming up on Thursday,August 14th,I'm hoping that you reveal some Mortal Kombat X characters there in this event.

MK9 was at PAX East, out in the open for everyone to play. PAX is all ages and in true USA fashion, a girl cosplaying as Cammy that had a thong leotard on was told to put pants on or leave. Jessica Nigri, the official Juliet for Lollipop Chainsaw who was there promoting the game was also told to change clothes or leave. Sex = bad, but violence is a ok

PAX is another videogame convention, much like E3, in which ALL fighting games, and lots of violent games (in general) have made appearances.
Violent games really aren't at Comic-Con.

Yup.
Welcome to America.
If you want a place where the roles are reversed, with sex being socially accepted and violence is shunned away from, that's Europe.
