According to yourdictionary, one of the many definitions of this word is "To wear slutty clothing or makeup, or behave in a slutty manner."

I certainly didn't ignore it. Pretty soon, we'll be seeing full-blown steroid bodies.
Even Kitana (whose gender is not as heavily associated with muscular physiques) looks like she's got a 6-pack.

MK X seems like it's going in the right path with different body types.
Ferra/Torr, D'Vorah, Kotal Kahn, Cassie Cage, Raiden, Sub-Zero and Scorpion all have different body types.
If it was MK9, Kotal Kahn would probably look like he's on heavy steroids, like Liu Kang.

UGH. Men have similar breast tissue to women when they're younger, but as they age, that tissue doesn't develop as much as a woman's. So, men have breasts. Also, female breasts ARE NOT a sex or secondary sex organ. They're breasts, like males.
"Slut" is one of those terms used all the time where people use it incorrectly, like "gay." You do know, anybody can change anything on Wikipedia, right? And, no, yourdictionary has the same clothing definition as other dictionaries.

To be fair, there are many men who are sexually attracted to women with big breasts. It was no accident that all of the female MK9 characters had large breasts and clothing that revealed a lot of cleavage.
Revealing clothing doesn't really bother me though. To me, it's all about the shape/cut of the clothing on how it looks the character, not how much or how little is covered up. People who constantly push their puritanical views in video games (and entertainment in general) can shove it.

Yah... both males and females in Mortal Kombat have questionable designs, but we've grown to be O-kay with it. You can't really compare with games like Street Fighter for example. I wish MK females were more like SF ones. In SF, there's such a huge variety of what we'd consider "female beauty" and very few females are actually "sexualized". The one that comes to mind is Cammy (and still she's more dressed than your average MK female). Poison (a transgender) is arguably most sexualized character in the series (byyy a looong shot!). But, at the same time, I don't think most MK fans would want smarter designs for their females. For most, Mortal Kombat is gore and erotism, period.

Okay, I'm trying not to delve into the whole feminism topic, but if men can do that then so can women. If a woman sleeps with a ton of men, she's a slut. But if a guy does, he's got game? Because that makes sense, right? That's how our society thinks, apparently a few of you on this forum do as well.
There is nothing preventing the females of MK dressing like that except the minds of people who are stuck in the old days. News flash, it's 2014. Not, the early 1900s where females were oppressed.
I find it really funny when everyone wants more female fighters and they want them to be badass, just like the guys in MK. But don't want them to dress up half naked like the guys do.

First of all - The idea of whoreish men having "game" is outdated. They are normally called out for being scum bags. Unless of course you are a scum bag surrounded by other scum bag men. But for the most part, what you are saying in that sense is not true.
Moving on to oppressed females. If you think women are currently held in the same light as men, you're wrong. They aren't. They are still paid less than men, sexism still exists all over the damn place, in some parts of the world they are required to basically hide every inch of their bodies while in public and women are a huge tool for marketing this and that. News flash, it's 2014 and equality still doesn't exist.
Now when a man is shirtless in public, it is not seen in the same way as a shirtless woman. I don't support that way of thinking but that is where we're at right now, unless you live in a very open minded area. In MK9 there are only three or four shirtless men. But their lower halves are completely covered up with no defining detail added to their butts or crotch region. They aren't used as sex objects in the slightest. Actually, their upper bodies are so poorly crafted that it steps right into unsightly and deformed looking.
Side note : Many of the men in MK9 are so covered up that it's actually a bit ridiculous. Armor on top of armor on top of clothing.
Also, a guy can move around and fight better while shirtless than a woman can with absolutely no support for her breasts. So while these dudes are jumping around being "bad asses" with their shirtless bodies, a woman jumping around trying to do the same will only find it difficult and annoying. It doesn't make sense for a woman to fight with her boobs flopping to and fro.
And the women aren't just dressing "sexy", they are literally wearing as little clothing as possible to help sell SEX. Their butt's are well defined, their breasts are well defined and then you have someone like Mileena who was a few steps away from exposing her vagina to everyone. That costume would never hold up in real life.
The men aren't used to push sex in the game. They are given a very simple body shape that doesn't bring any focus to their manly bits or anything. The women are the exact opposite. I mean, a military chick is seen wearing heels and an opened up vest with no undershirt or bra to be seen. Just think about it.

Who's trying to oppress them? That's right, no one is. There is no "oppression", just pointing out the fact that they dress slutty. Isn't it funny how feminism works? Give females representation, people b!tch about how it's not the right representation. Try to correct the representation, and people call it "oppression". Makes me laugh.
