Is female (man) faces bugging anyone?

They seem to be going in the right path with everything else apart from female (man) faces. If she is supposed to look like a tom-boy at least give her sharp features (thin nose, high cheekbones for visible cheeks etc). Johnny Cage's daughter should be one of the best looking women.

Amber Heard is perfect because she's played an agent/elite assassin in a movie (3 days to kill) and she's a blonde moviestar.

Well considering how little they have been showing her in trailers and high res pictures, it leads me to believe that she is still in development and that her model and animations are subject to change
 
Bugs the hell out of me. Netherrealm CANNOT do human faces properly. The eyes always end up too small/too close/too far apart (D'Vorah) etc.. Their character select screen portrait icons from MK9 were absolute dogshit. Looked like a teenager had done them..truly awful and same goes for Injustice. They NEED to get another artist in..really do.. ;(
 
the only major game at e3 where the number of female characters comes close to equalling the number of men, and you're complaint is that she's basically not sexualized enough.

I thought it was great that so far, it's not a bounce fest like the last game.

Does subzero need a bigger bulge? is he too feminine?
 
Her face doesn't bug me. The size of her head does bother me a little, though. It seems too big or something.

I'm liking that they're taking the female characters more seriously this time. Cassie Cage is even less sexualized than Sonya Blade and I REALLY like that. I also like that she seems really no frills kinda fighting woman. Notice how she doesn't seem to have any make up on. She looks like she's here to kick ass and chew bubble gum.

That would pass for PS3/Xbox 360 where graphics weren't that big of a thing but we're on next-gen, where they know and can do miles better.

I understand what you mean there. But if that were the case, then TECHNICALLY the gameplay should look indistinguishable from the trailer. We all know that the PS4 is supposed to be able to do that stuff.

No you're not getting it. The women in MK9 looked like men, I let that slide. I'm not gonna let it slide for MKX. I have been to prison where you won't believe how many hot female officers there are, and some had no makeup but they still looked like women at the end of the day. I can't say the same about women in MKX, that they look like women... they actually look like they had plastic surgery and it didn't work out.
 
Doesn't look like a guy to me. Maybe not as well modeled as what next gen should be able to do, but she doesn't look like a man. I don't remember any of the female characters looking like men in MK9.
 
She doesn't look that much like a man. But I see where you're coming from! I don't know why NRS's character modelers are so bad still.

I have a bigger problem with her face looking like it's from a early-release PS3 title... This is the best they can do on new-gen platforms!?

I really hope her model isn't finished and they just rushed her out to get the big "oh snap, Cage/Sonya daughter!!" reaction because right now she barely looks PS3 quality, not to mention PS4.
 
Im digging Cassie Cage. She doesn't look like a man at all. Yeah she has strong features but look at her...from her gameplay, she is pretty badass. I like the fact that she doesn't really have her parents moveset but qualities/features that resemble her parents moves but in her own way!
(She wasn't a rip off character like saddly Kira was. hate to say it bc i liked her look but was really just a cheap knock off to Kano/Sonya)

I think Ed Boon and Team got it right this time.

It's not next-gen, it's cross gen. If it were next gen it could easily look like the cinematic trailer. We're heald back for ps3 level technology, here.
 
Yeah, Cassie looks like s#%t. Her neck is too long, her animations are janky and her face looks low res(and butt ugly). Come on NRS, give us one attractive maskless chick!
 
She looks female to me, but I can still see hints of the infamous man-face NRS is known for.

Maybe i'm just too use to seeing stuff like this

That was a great example I read above though. The women don't look like men, they look like ugly women who got some botched ass back alley plastic surgery. I didn't think Cassie looked that bad until I saw that screenshot. Her neck does look a bit long in gameplay though, might just be the costume.

A face and HAIR like that would be awesome for Cassie....
But yeah I agree with the majority... Cassie doesn´t look like a male (at least) but her face doesn´t look like a PS4 model. How I was saying at another thread the problem is the hair, C´mon!!!! DOA´s hairs are pretty reasonable and they are for PS3. We need something like that.
Well it´s obvious Cassie isn´t finished, but let´s hope they finish her properly (FATALITY!!!!):twisted:
