New Characters for MK10

Jade pole dances. Skarlet does a slutty pose while blood falls on her during one of her fatalities. Oh and Sindel kicks a guy in the crotch and in the @$$ (literally with the enhanced special flip kick) and walks like a slut. And those "niches" fit every M rated fighting, RPG, horror, action, and adventure video game. ;)

-Jade does a little pole dance, yeah. But so what? My friend, who is a female, has pole danced before. Pole dancing isn't slutty. It's an acrobatic dance involving a pole. Sure, it's commonly associated with strippers and what not, but it's actually a performance art. In the past Jade has proven herself to be a fun character who was indeed sexualized. But that does not = slut. I highly doubt Jade is sleeping around with a whole bunch of men.

-Skarlet does not make a slutty pose during her fatality. She's just a gore queen. She wants the blood all over her body. Blood is her thing. She may get off on it, but that does not make her slutty.

-Kicking a guy in the ass and crotch is not slutty. It's just a low blow that causes a crazy amount of pain (this is a fighting game, remember?). And she doesn't walk like a slut, whatever that means.

Nasty Freak has ideas that are completely alien to the identity of MK. Dominatrixes, cheerleaders, and bubble gum pop music? F@$& no to all 3! You tell me, which artist is better to rip spines out to? Spears or Slayer?

Anyone who thinks this bubble gum pop bullshit belongs in MK better read these lyrics and tell me why a song carrying such lyrics does not belong...

Slayer - Piece By Piece

Modulistic terror
A vast sadistic feast
The only way to exit
Is going piece by piece

You have no choice of life or death
My face you will not see
I'll rip your flesh 'till there's no breath
Dismembered destiny

As soon as life has left your corpse
I'll make you part of me
No emotion
Death is all I see

Modulistic terror
A vast sadistic feast
The only way to exit
Is going piece by piece

Bones and blood lie on the ground
Rotten limbs lie dead
Decapitated bodies found
On my wall, your head!

On your trail I close the gap
One more life that soon won't be
No emotion
Your flesh is all I need

I'll send you to your maker
Confront the God you seek
A flash of red upon his your chest
Safety out of reach

You have no choice of life or death
My face you will not see
I'll rip your flesh 'till there's no breath
Dismembered destiny

Modulistic terror
A vast sadistic feast
There's only one way out of here
Piece by piece

Lol, nah, bro. Metal doesn't fit in Mortal Kombat. Unless the stage is at the Netherrealm or/and Hell like in MKA. I just listened to that song you posted. Lol. That shit don't fit for a Netherrealm and/or Hell stage. It'll look weird as crap. But that's just me. And I'm not a fan of metal music. When it comes to fighting games, I'm pretty open to anything though. This is one of the few things I'm not open to lol. Though I do agree with you 100% that pop doesn't belong in MK.

Anyways, since we're talking about music, it would be nice to get some music similar to this, but darker:

None of the Music mentioned here has any place in Mk. Not pop, not, slayer and not Bubblegum whatever. The only music "in my opinion" that truly fits MK is the music they have been putting in it for years. Orchestrated music i think has more of an impact than music with lyrics that you won't be able to hear over the crunching, yelling, screaming and other generally cool sound effects that take place during the course of any Mk match.

Thats not to say that A stage or two couldn't use a nice Dirty Guitar riff, but the way i see it is that the music should be inspired by the atmosphere of that particular stage.

I loved the Dead pool's music. it sounded like dripping and chains rattling. to this day i think it is singularly the best piece of music in any MK.

If you guys like that particular brand of music most current gen systems allow you to play your saved tracks while playing a game. My brother who was a Huge fan of the 1986 animated transformers the movie used to play the soundtrack while playing war for cybertron.

MK's music is stage by stage basis.

MK9 Armory is some metal ass shit, and I love it
MK9 Subway is more urban and rugged

What MK doesn't need though is that flunking weak ass "epic" music like Injustice. It doesn't fit at all and is just plain annoying. MK needs it's natural, gritty instruments. Mortal Kombat 4 has the best overall soundtrack of any MK game to date. Fact

there are no facts where opinions are present, only more opinions.

MK9 had had orchestrated music, but it was poorly arranged and generic sounding.

With orchestration you have a much broader range of instruments, tones, tempos and general option available. (I was a music theory major) it allows for you to improvise more. Quite frankly I think more time could have been spent realizing MK9's musical atmosphere. alot of it sounded like it was trying to hard o be epic. there were some decent tracks, but none of them were as memorable as they could have been.

I dunno I think netherrealm will do what ever they see fit. this is, after all their brain child and vision of a pseudo eastern influenced universe. Whatever they decide to do i will still play it.

I must say, it is kinda cool to see what kind of music players reccommend for the next MK. I say that because it also offers a glimpse into what people associate mk with and what content is a draw for them.

TT plays if for the "violence" hence his death metal reccommendation.

NF obviously likes it for the sheer "over the top" aspect with his reccommendation of pop and more whimsical music.

Some have expressed that they like the techno or elecrtonica (opinion: is there really a difference) which suggests they like it for the action and up beat pace.

Then there are guys like me who think that MK should focus less on the camp and more of the serious tones of MK. (which they will most likely never do)

All input is interesting and cool to see. i wish that we could all create and share our own versions of MK i would really like to see just what kind of stuff people come up with.

In my opinion Mortal Kombat 3/umk3 and Mortal Kombat 4 had the most memorable soundtracks with MK3 being my favorite. Though I will say I love MK mixed in with some pretty hard electronic beats, much like what we got in the movies.

I still say it's sexy and it's no different from my suggestions when it comes to the sexy level.

@ Aldo Moreno: I have to admit that KOF, DOA, and Tekken play some of the best music.

As i stated. everyone has their own opinion and none are right or wrong because an opinion is the projection of one's own personal tastes.

In my opinion MK2 had the best soundtrack.

MK4's music sounded just like the rest of the 3d-kombats if you ask me. Of course that is my opinon. I hated MK4 i thought it was an all around failure. once again, just my opinion.

EDIT: the one redeeming quality MK4 had was Raiden's return

Reiko should play a much more important part, make Shinnok as powerful as he should have been in MK4, have Scorpion kill Quan Chi, introduce Moloch and Drahmin because the Oni are awesome, bring in Bo Rai Cho, make Kai and Kung Lao the new heroes, (Considering Raiden manages to free all the souls that Quan Chi has) give Kenshi an important role, make Ermac good. Anything else is extraneous to me.

Or the Subway with its heavy guitars. In small doses it's fine in MK. Just the right amount, which is very little.

A character from Edenia who wields a whip sword similar to Ivy from Soul Calibur would be nice but the blades would be shaped like hearts instead.

For a Mortal Kombat game the soundtrack shouldnt be limited to one type of music. Imo the soundtrack should go by the feeling of characters or by the mood of the stage . One thing i do want to see for the soundtrack are character themes instead of stage themes....

I was actually thinking about a character last night. So we all know Liu trained with Bo rai cho. Now i assumed in order for him to be trained by Bo rai cho Liu had to leave the shaolin to live with him like how Shujinko did in MkD. Now what if Bo had like a Granddaughter( who is also a fighter)would visit and by doing so met and became good friends with Liu. She could be almost like Bo fighting wise. A woman who uses drunken fist basically
