Hello TRMKers, I've decided (With Jades approval) to do a "a video game" award show/thread!

But we can't do it without NOMINATIONS, can we?

So I'm looking for nominations in these categories:

-Best Fighter game (Ex. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter)
-Best Shooter (Ex. MW3, HALO)
-Best game based of a movie (EX. Nightmare before Christmas: Oogies Revenge)
-Game with best DLC (Ex. Mortal Kombat, LBP)
-Best kid friendly game (Ex. LBP 1&2)
-Best RPG game (Ex. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)
-Best sport game (Ex. NBA 2K12 and NFL 2012)
-Best Action-Adventure game (Ex. Batman: Arkham City)
-Best Interactive game (Ex. Kinect Sports)
-Most WTF moment in the game (Can't put up example since it could be and Spolier)
-Developer of the year (Ex. NRS, Naughty Dog)
-Overall best game (Your fav. game)
-Best advertising campaign (Commercials...)
-Best Computer/PC game (Ex. MineCraft, World of Warcraft)
-Best Pocket game (Ex. Games for Phones, such as Angry Birds)

RULES AND/OR GUIDELINES

-Can't nominate the same game more than 3 times..
-Please don't put bloody games under the kid friendly game nomination, yea because 3 year old love watching God of War..
-Please, if you see that 5 people nominated the same game for the same award, try to put something different..

Best 8-Bit: Not sure. Pac-Man I guess.
Best Fighter: Mortal Kombat
Best Shooter: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Best Game Based off of a Movie: Scott Pilgrim
Game With Best DLC: Mortal Kombat
Best Kid-Friendly game: God of War 3

Great idea, but no guidelines? No rules? Just anything goes huh?

8-Bit: Ummm, Super Mario Bros. 3?
Best Fighter: Super Smash Bros. Melee
Best Shooter: Goldeneye 64
Best Game Based On A Movie: I dunno, Batman Begins?
Best DLC: Rain, Mortal Kombat 9
Best Kid-Friendly Game: Urm, Sonic the Hedgehog 2?

I'm also looking for more categories, if you have any along with examples please tell me..

Aight then son, these categories'll help make yo shit irrestisible:

Best RPG
Best Action-Adventure
Best Sports Game
Most WTF moment- (like what was the surprising moment in gaming this year)
Developer of the Year
Game of the Year
Best Advertising Campaign
Most Innovative Game
Best Indie Game

So if I think a game is the best in different categories, I can still only nominate it in one?

That's kinda silly, don't ya think?

Unless you meant something else by 'can only nominate each game ONCE'.

What I mean is not to nominate the same game for like 5 different categories maximum should be 3....

Okay, this is all I got for now:

For Best RPG, for example, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

For Best Action-Adventure, think Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

For Sports game, NBA 2K12 and Madden NFL 2012

WTF moment in gaming? How about something like most of the heroes dying at the hands of Sindel in MK9 or...

Spoiler:
Joker dying at the end of Batman: Arkham City

Developer of the Year? NRS, of course, and Naughty Dog, who developed Uncharted 3

GOTY? Batman, Uncharted, Skyrim, or any other highly-acclaimed title this year

Advertising Campaign? Think of commercials or promotional material that might have impressed you, here's an example of something:

Most Innovative Game? I would say something like Bulletstorm or Brink, maybe?

Indie Game? Don't have any examples of that

And here you go, hope this helped ^_^

Wow, here I was thinking I couldn't think of one. Yeah that's a good one. It tricked me too while males at the time were highly dominant in being the main character. One of the few biased reasons I like the Metroid series, as sexist as that might sound.

I love strong female leads :D
