Sore losers = me banned.

I've never gotten so much hate mail from any game, people are such sore losers. I had to turn on my privacy settings to avoid these people. I made it to where unless you're on my Friends List, I can't hear your voice or receive any messages from you. Apparently this really got to people so they started sending me cheating feedback. I never rematch people as of late because I know after I beat them the first time, they will get a salty vagina and try their best to be as much of an a-hole as they can the next match instead of actually fighting. I guess since they can't message me they just try to get be banned, and it worked.

I got signed out of XBL right after this match online, and it says my account as been suspended, and that an e-mail will explain. I also have "Code of Conduct" all over my profile. People need to grow up and learn how to lose with dignity.

I don't really know the point of this thread, venting I guess. (>_<)
 
If you are spamming or corner-raping (not assuming) then they would, but if you are fighting normally then yeah, there is no reason.
 
wow thats really dumb. they were probably really big losers who only got the game because of the cool charcters in it. >.<

I play 100% legit, a few people on here could back me up on that. Even if someone is spamming someone like Raiden or Kung Lao it's still not cheating, it's just unfair. I'd get a little mad but I wouldn't leave them cheating feedback. That's just immature.
 
That's sucks man. Can you appeal it or are you screwed? And how long will you be banned? I play psn so I don't know how xbl does it.

Well someone messed up then. I'd call Microsoft and complain but I'm about to go out anyways. I'm only banned for 24 hours. It's not a big deal not being able to play for a day, but being wrongfully banned makes me pissed.

I've replied to a couple but 90% of them I haven't. Also I've had that privacy setting for a couple weeks now and I've just gotten banned today so that's not it. If you got banned for sending hate mail to people, 99% of the MK9 players would be banned.
 
I don't understand what it is about this game that brings out the worst in people. All I get online is hate too. Well, hate and misogyny. I don't play with anyone unless I know them now which is fine, but it's stupid that people suck all the enjoyment out of online play just because they feel like being tools. Sorry about your experience, IR. You're right, that's totally unfair. :(

Yeah, I had that "Code of Conduct" crap all over my profile before too. I had some silly "offensive" stuff on my profile that I found amusing at one time or another and forgot about, so instead of asking me to change it, which would have been cool, or deleting it and giving me a warning, which also would've been cool, they suspended my profile for a day or so. I didn't even use profanity or anything.
 
Microsoft's stance is that the CoC is the only warning. You have to agree to it when you create your account and/or during some of the system updates. Failure to know it is the same as failure to know Laws, you can't claim innocence by ignorance.

Phone support doesn't handle or have information on account supsensions, to get an answer you have to post in the XBLPET forum and wait for a response. They don't answer inquiries on 24 hour supsensions though.

Now Microsoft and the PET have made mistakes before but it's fairly rare and they own up to thier mistakes. Even if you censor a profane word than it's still considered a violation. MS considers your Xbox Live Profile and Gamertag to be rated E for Everyone, even if you set it to friends only it could potentially still be seen by minors. Terms like Pimp and Rape are considered profane because of thier base definitions would not be suitable for younger players. Notorius figures (Hitler, Bin Laden,Ted Kaczynski etc) are also a violaion.

An excerpt from the CoC that covers most temporary suspensions-
"Don’t create a Gamertag, profile content, or in-game content that other users may be offended by, this includes comments that look, sound like, stand for, hint at, abbreviate, or insinuate any of the following: profane words/phrases, topics or content of a sexual nature, hate speech (including but not limited to racial, ethnic, or religious slurs), illegal drugs/controlled substances, or illegal activities."

who cares if hes spamming, corner raping or even shitting on you with the cheapest shit possible, that doesnt deserve a ban.

I get tons of hate also and I feel its only a matter of time before im handed a ban just for smashing on the mass majority. Thats just plain stupid.
 
god i'm glad i'm not on xbl. all the hate mail i get from kratos i would be banned within an hour of fighting people.

i get atleast 10 hate messages aday it's awful that just because people don't know his good/bad matches which are cage and cyber sub and sheeva and can't seem to figure out that jumping the whole effing match will most likely end badly for you but it's my fault.

that is dumb a code of conduct on a profile that u pay money for and they can pull it any time they want that is bs i feel sry for your unfairly pulled profile.

mysogyny? really? Why do people think video games are for guys only? As a guy, I think it's pretty cool that some women take interest in video games!
 
There has to be somethign else at play. I actually used to do this type of job for a living for an MMO company and I can assure that MS or even Sony can pretty much see/track all the history of anything, even voice chat in many cases. We used to get false complaints all the time and I don't think we ever made one mistake and accidentally banned or warned anyone.

I do know however in regards to profiles that MS will toss out a 24 hour ban if you have something offensive in there, or at least offensive by their standards. Same goes for your Biography.

Someone can get like 1000 reports for cheating, but unless they're actually cheating or using an exploit that is considered cheating, they won't get banned. The reports only alert MS/Sony of the type of action, they generally have to follow up and catch you in the act so to speak before they actually take action. They also don't put code of conduct in your profile either if you've been banned for cheating.
 
Not sure if any of you were ever big Gears of War 2 players - but the game ran so poorly for everyone but host that any time you did well, people would assume you were host and would file complaints against you. I have only a 44% approval rate on Live because of that game with something like 40% saying "Unsporting Conduct". I'm the fairest player you'll ever meet online :laugh:

lol yea, the fact that some people would adamantly refuse to believe in host advantage would crack me up. It's like if you do a little reading and educate yourself, you would know that yes there is a Host Advantage and yes it's pretty damn powerful.
