Why have DLC for offline only when the game is centered around online???

Because you don't want to fight him online is the reason you don't want the compatibility pack unless it has costumes you want. It's all about people being selfish and frankly, you needa think about others when it comes to online play. It's not just YOUR game anymore but everyone elses when you go online. I bought him, I should be able to play with him

Well... let 's be honest for a moment..

Let's forget he's Freddy and imagine he's a new MK character :
- his design : pretty blank, not enough details, face burned like Kabal... just the bladed gloves for some points
- his pre-/post-fight stances : pre-fight looking like what Scorpion's should have been, post-fight actually nice, with the blood spray to the screen
- his moves : not that much of originality, hack and slash moves, a semi-teleport move, and blades sticking out from the ground. I mean when we see the work done on Kenshi and Rain to make them more different, not a lot going on there
- his X-Ray : not much there either, but they never show the X-rays til the end in these trailer, so we'll have to wait and see how it ends
- his Fatalities : pretty cool, especially the second one (in the oven)

So even if he wasn't Freddy, not much going on for him, much more like a generic character with cool Fatalities...

But now, he's Freddy Krueger, and when I'll see him on the screen, I'll have to force myself to think that he's a part of the MKverse... I already had problems with Kratos, but at least with him it was fun because we had played with him in 3-5 games before, and it was nice to perform fatalities on him... I really don't see who would want to cut Freddy in half any more than they do it to other characters...

As others have said : marketing...
At least WB should have announced a new movie at the same time, that would have been actually more to the point.
I'm still waiting to see how well/bad he sells...

I woundn't be so pissed if,hadn't kept him a secret and didn't get our hopes up for an mk character,he had only the one glove and they had used the robert englund version

I stuck up for MK when they went against DCU and also adding Kratos but really freddy krugger can't do it.

I'm gonna do a test run with Freddy,and see if I like him if I don't I won't use him,plain and simple.

Everybody *****ing about freddy needs to chill. This is totally awesome in my book. **** it they better have Jason too. Bring on the slashers I say! My only complaint is that he looks like Jackie Earl Haley from that god awful remake and not Robert Englund. Seriously folks you put up with Catwoman, Green Lantern, and SHAZAAAAAAAAM for gods sake. Is Freddy seriously too much of a stretch for you?

I'm a hell of a lot better because I'm not having people waste their money.

They're not downloading the packs so I can't play as a character I bought.

I am pissed, all the hype and anticipation for this? NRS really f*cked over a lot of hardcore fans. I will download Freddy anyways just so I dont cheat other players and what not, but expect me to go all out Sub-Zero on your ass if you choose to use him against me. The compatibility pack NEEDS to make up for this slap to the face. I mean of all people, Havik, Tanya, Reiko, Bo' Rai Cho, EVEN TREMOR! and we get Freddy Krueger. NRS has some serious problems they need to fix because I gurantee this would NOT have been an option to do in an older MK game.

No compatibility pack or future DLC, for me.
This was the straw that broke the camels back.

I Dont have season pass and im getting freddy for sure
he looks awesome and his fatalities are better then some fighters here

Okay I've cooled down a little I f*cking hate Freddy but I am going to download the compatibility pack I hope when Boon realizes he made none of his precious moneys that he realizes guests don't sell good
