Ehhhmm Kira with different movset will stay Kira, let's separate being a character from being a fighter e.g. Shinnok in MK4, cool as character, lame as fighter (zero of his own moves). Kira has a reat potential, she would even look innocent (ponytail, wtf!) if she hadn't such cruel glance, total psycho slut who suits MK very well. Of course I know there is too small chance for her to become DLC cause of her anti-hype and her fatality which was taken away and given to Mileena. Maybe in MK10...

I chose Onaga only, should have added Havik to the mix.

Onaga for who he is (although Shinnok should come first) and I'm pretty sure he's got a lot of potential, so it's all a matter of what NRS does with him. Havik because he was already on Saibot'¡s ending, so he'd be the one to make more sense to add.
 
so just because we have post umk3 characters already we need more. i disagree. what happened to the original trilogy, celebration of the first three mortal kombat games, fan service. it was supposed to be a reboot with the klassic characters. of course this is to be expected by having kenshi and quan chi in the game. people get a little something and they want more. the only reason everyone is whining for another guest character is because of the inclusion of kratos.

I know he doesn't get a lot of love, but Kobra was my favorite new era character. He might actually be my no. 2 character. Technically he could be a MK3 story character, Shoa Kahn did take over his soul during the invasion of Earthrealm.
 
Ashrah and Havik.

Ashrah had a really cool back story, and her needing to kill demon's could connect her to Noob like it did in Deception. Was the first "light" type character and overall, she was pretty. Also love the actress that supplied the voice.

Ashrah had a good concept, she has some potential though her looks needs an overhaul not only his face that IMO looks manly, her costume too, I know you have light powers but do you have to look like a lamp? Other than she has some potential, but like many people said before, I'd like a light ninja rather than Ashrah, a natural enemy for Noob.
 
To me, in my mind only 6 Deception characters are worth bringing again.

Ashrah - original design-wise, HORRIBLE gameplay wise. They could make her vodoo-based, she's got potential on that.
Havik - do I need to explain?
Hotaru - he DOES have potential, he was mediocre design-wise an gameplay-wise, but I can see something working there.
Onaga - LOTS of potential for being a great boss. Reminds me a lot of Tekken's Ogre.
Shujinko - only, BUT ONLY, if he's got NO special power and purely martial art based. Old man-version ONLY please.
Dairou - I stand for Dairou. Design-wise he has a medieval Chinese-design going on - quite original - and some of his moves and his fatality were actually quite good.

The rest can go to Hell.

We already have too many ninjas just like we have too many freezing ability characters. Her story with Noob was actually legit, and if you never played it before go read up. I actually like her style, she's not a complete slut. The hat is cool IMO
