Stryker and Kabal are the last people I would expect DLC costumes for. I actually think Blueberry and Lime refers to more ninjas. Yes, they're getting on my nerves, but they do rake in dough.

Let's think of the benefits of making some costumes.

If they were to make an MK3 Kabal, how many times could they sell it? Once.

If they make a UMK3 ninja costume, how many times could they sell it? About 7 times.

So while everybody might not like the repetitive ninja costumes, they do make more money and are more worth the time.


So I think Blueberry and Lime refers to either UMK3 Sub-Zero and UMK3 Reptile, or MK2 Kitana and MK2 Jade.

Except for the fact that the "blueberry and lime" costumes will be free, as part of the Rain compatibility pack... So, they aren't making more money on them no matter how you slice it.

I don't think you're gonna see a second DLC costume for anyone until all of the characters at least have one DLC costume, with the exception of Kratos... I honestly can't believe some people are thinking Cyber Smoke, when he JUST GOT a DLC costume... Maybe in the future, but not with Rain.

Two things that are recurring themes with both DLC costume pairs so far... They both came from the same game (Sektor/Cyrax from MK3 and Noob/Smoke from MK2) and the characters were connected to each other... Using that logic...

Starting with lime, we have Jade, Reptile and Sonya are the only three to wear green that I can recall. Get rid of the two that have already had DLC costumes (Jade and Reptile) and that leaves you with Sonya as the most probable character to be "Lime."

So, if Sonya is lime, who is "blueberry?" My guess is Jax. Yes, Johnny Cage is sort of connected to Sonya, but the only time he wore blue was in MK2, when Sonya wasn't a playable character... That means, unless they're doing a MK2 Sonya costume, when she wasn't even playable, it isn't gonna be Johnny Cage. Blueberries, especially in their earlier stages, are purple, which is the color Jax wore in MK3... The same MK game that Sonya wore lime green.

We should find out soon, but I gotta think you're gonna see Sonya and Jax get alts with Rain.

Blueberry is mk2 Kitana! She kisses her opponent and they bloat up like a blueberry! DUH!!!

Rain's fatality? They can use that same animation for the Kiss of Death. C'mon it's pretty obvious

Yes, Blueberry & Lime might be free, but if they do happen to be ninja costumes, then they can be sold with the other ninjas eventually.


Point is: making a costume for Sonya, or Jax, or Stryker would be nice, but making costumes for Kitana and Jade or Sub and Reptile would be better because they can be given to the other ninjas also.

They are doing the ninjas first. Bet me. They got MK3 Sektor and Cyrax out of the way, now they just did MK2 Noob & Smoke. They did they MK1 ninjas first, now they will do MK2 Sub Zero and Reptile. Then it will be Scorpion and Ermac. I HAVE SPOKEN!!! Lol.

C'mon now, let's be realistic. It'll most likely be MK2 Kitana and Jade. The MK2 ninjette costumes were mentioned in the demo leak IIRC. They can be used again for Mileena and Skarlet, and the ninja costumes are hot right now.

Common sense, people.

scorpion, sub zero, ermac, reptile, smoke, noob, kitana, jade, mileena, cyrax, sektor.
thats 11 so far.

missing in action
sonya, sheva, sindel, raiden kung lao, johnny cage, jax, liu kang, shang tsung, baraka, kabal, kano, quan chi, Kurtis Stryker, Nightwolf.

plus dlc and specialty character:
cyber sub zero, kratos, skarlet, kenshi, and most likely rain.
and yes i know csz and kratos wont get anything, just throwing them up there cus they are in the game.

i hope they dont ignore the other fighters, i hope they dont release more ninja costumes untill the rest of the cast gets their classics, i only think that is fair to all users :)

I am one of the people that doesn't believe they'd make more klassics for chars that already got klassics, but the fact that they're keeping it secretive has me wondering...hmmmmm

I think NS922 is on the right track. These costumes are being given away for free, as an incentive for players to download a patch, or as an extra item with the paid-DLC. For this purpose, NRS would find it cheaper to produce classic ninja - one costume fits many characters.

your missing a lot of the characters who dont havve klassics but look klassic with certain colors on certain costumes... jax looks like mk3 jax in his primary alt color kabal looks like mk3 kabal in his alt with alt color shang tsung looks like mk1 shang with alt in alt color.. ect ect

I think he means some of the people you mentioned have costumes already that are similar to their klassics.

If NRS decides to realese an unmasked SZ alt it will be for human SZ, CSZ will never get a human alt costume, is a dumb idea.

This has got me thinking now. Kabal and Stryker, Cage and Sonya, jax and sonya, lol oh the wait is killing me now just reveal who they are ninjaboy66 :/

Anyway i reckon its sonya/jax
