I personally think all the bosses are awesome in the MK series. My all time favorite is Shao Kahn but he is to cheap to play with previous games. A close second and my favorite playable villain is Quan Chi

Edit: Poll added

A poll would be nice... not sure how to add one..
my favorite bosses will probably always be shao kahn and shang tsung(nothing like an emperor and his personal sorcerer hehe), but i got love for quan chi and prince goro as well

Yeah Giro is classic.. but Quan Chi is so bad ass. I fell in love with him after the deception opening and I'm starting to master him in MK9.

Quan Chi, he is the smartest mofo in MK .... this explain why he is alive in the end of MK 2011, while all others, dead or out of combat ....

haha, he has not respect even for a god, the way he mocks Raiden in Story Mode is priceless, hehe ! XD

yah quan chi really shined in mkda and mkd his story became more and more relevant and juicy seeing him him help kill liu kang and raiden with enough in the tank to defeat shang tsung as well was awesome

i just wish i knew more about his background because i think his origins are unknown as far as where hes from(i know he RESIDES in the netherrealm but he passes freely to other realms as well so he could of immigrated to the netherrealm??)...

and WHAT is he?! he is so mysterious i guess thats what makes him such a juicy character

but he sure is mega cool

Well, Kahn is brutal and scary as well as Motaro. However, Shang Tsung has a great potential of being an ultimate boss because he can shpe shift into anything and anyone. NRS just didn't make him like that in the game.

Quan Chi used to be an Oni, but after a wicked long time he "evolved" into a soceror, and later an arch-sorceror. He's been around since the creation of the netherrealm. (Big time story buff, got a question, ask Dan Cowan.)

Anyway my favorite villian is Goro, what a beast. I loved how he teams up with Kitana in MK4. Fighting against him in MK9 on expert is like trying to stop a train with a duck.

Goro, if you talk to people that only played the 2D MK games, they will always remember Goro, noone remembers Kahn or Kintaro. And Shinnok IMO was the worst boss ever, he was just a Shang tsung clone in MK4 and his look is lame.

Eh. I don't care that much for shinnok.

Motaro is the only one that scared the shit out of me as a kid...

you too? Damn, he scared me as a kid as well. not only are his screeches terrifying, but he's the reason why stop motion scares the shit out of me. even his lair scared me, cause your not even sure what its supposed to be, A dark room with collomns and a hole in the center. surreal in a way. shame they didnt bring him back,

and Quan chi is about as intimidating as Hsu Hao, no offence to quan chi fans, but MK4
was the only game I sorta liked him in. He had the Dark Overload vibe going on then, but Hes gone stale to me now, I was hoping for him to get a more evil redesign to fit the role as a main villain, at least thats what they always try to potray him as anyway, but he just doesnt cut it for me.

Anyone else feel like noob saibot is the most evil character in the new mk? He's got the best evil laugh ever and pulls off that darth vader look well. His ending prob isn't canned but I could see him becoming an awesome boss character like it showed.
