Prior to release, with the lack of info pertaining to a 360 exclusive, I was hoping we'd NOT get one. I'm quite glad we didn't. Unfortunately, the idea of "if you don't like him, don't use him" doesn't work for MK. Even if you never use whomever, you still have to play against him, online or in arcade ladder. Plus, you'd still need to play them for MKFISer.

Does it suck we get less content for the same price? Sure. But that's no different then those who already have a pre-order bonus having to pay the same price for the bundle as those who don't, even though technically we get less.

I just watched the video again and realized they didn't offer us a release date like I was hoping. I was so caught up in it the first time that I didn't even notice lol.

Random side note: Bethesda did not develop Fallout: New Vegas, they were simply a publisher. Fallout: New Vegas was developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

On topic: I don't know why people are classifying content that comes with Scarlet as free (unless of course she's free herself). If you're purchasing Scarlet to gain access to additional content, nothing is free. You're still handing over money to enjoy that content.

If you buy one orange off me, I'll give you 7 others with it for free. Alternatively you could buy all eight off me for one low price :stupid:

Everything look good, looks like she has some good juggles, not too fond of the blood ball though. Still looking forward to Kenshi more.

I don't mind the female outfits, and rather enjoy looking at them, but Skarlets outfit seems a bit bland in comparison to what Jade, Kitana, and Mileena are sporting. Hopefully she has a good alternate outfit that does not look so generic.

And if there are fire balls, ice balls, acid balls and even cannon balls, what's the problem with blood balls?

Im impressed, she seems like a legit MK character with alot of kool moves, she has the perfect look too. Still not sure if ill get her dlc, but now that ive seen her, ill consider it.

Yeah.... it sucks. I'm sticking to my estimate though that it won't be until July that we get her. Keeping my fingers crossed that she's a right-after-E3 release, but really, I'm not expecting her before July.

Skarlet is the first new playable character in MK since Taven and Daegon. Besides the gameplay trailer which has really increased my anticipation for her, I'm really interested in Skarlet because I want to see how they handle their first new character in the NRS era. Skarlet really seems like a cut above all of the batches of uninteresting characters we've gotten in Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon. We all know that we'll be getting a lot of new characters in MK10, especially with all the deaths in the Story Mode of MK9. I'm hoping they'll all be more great, interesting characters like Kenshi, Havik, and Tanya were in Deadly Alliance, Deception and MK4. The last thing we need in the new era of MK is another Kobra, Mavado, Jarek, etc.

Unless we pay the same amount for Skarlet that we would for any future DLC characters but we end up getting more content such as free costumes or something like that. That'd be like buying one orange and then getting an apple for free, but only paying the orange's price. They're not giving away the apple to anyone who walks into the grocery store, but they aren't making you pay for it, thus free.

That's why the question I made was: What will come "free" with Scarlet? Because I don't think it's free either.

Anyway, with Scarlet, we probably will be able to unlock her alternate costume by beating Arcade Ladder, that's waht to be expected. I think it's unlikely that they include an extra stage too, since they mentioned that they prefer to release more characters than stages. What I think is possible to bundle with Scarlet is:
1) Videos, like past character trailers and luckly Kenshi preview
2) A new mode, like Vs CPU

And that's pretty much it. Costumes or new fatalities will always come as packs, and gameplay changes comes with patches.

I definitely want to see what her bio is since I've already seen her ending. I wonder how the new characters will be handled in the Nekropolis. Now we play the waiting game for release date and price.

I hope not, because they been working in her for a long time and if they realese her in July that means they need a lot of time to create a character and that we have to expect Kenshi and other characters (like Rain) in a very far future... that'd suck... In that case i think Kenshi should be realesed before but well, we have to wait for the realese date, maybe its sooner than we think.

It's just really lame and I don't even get how a blood ball is supposed to affect you or even be useful. Fire of course will harm you by burning you, Kano's Kano-ball is throwing his body at you at a very high speed, of course that could you. Freezing somebody with an ice ball will freeze them and open them up for a free hit, along with a lot of other possibilities concerning kombat.

But a blood ball? How is that supposed to harm you? By giving you AIDS? I could see her throwing some blood in their eyes, stunning them and opening them for a free hit. But a blood ball can't actually causing harm to you. There's nothing cool or badass about throwing blood at people.

Can't wait to see her character bio. Skarlet seems to have a bloodlust unseen in most of the other evil kombatants in MK.

Meh. Not a fan. Too simple and obvious for me. OMGZ a blood character...We get it Boon, you like blood. Hence the already exaggerated damage during fights. I wish the team was a little more discreet about the "theme" of each character, we're not all five years old.

IE Sub Zero in a parka in MKD; Skarlet being all red and happens to have a fixation for blood, Smoke having grey wispy hair that looks like...you guessed it!, Johnny Cage having a tattoo + belt buckle combo that spells his damn name, etc. I liked it much better in MK1-2 where they were real people, no over the top fratboy attitude.
