Please Tell Me These New Rumors Are False

Please tell me they're not cutting 5 characters from MK10. Seriously one of my favorite character's, Mileena, is BARELY in the 5 least played characters. She's only beaten by Ermac. Is Ed Boon and NRS really going to risk the backlash they'll get for cutting Mileena? Every character, even the lesser played ones, have their fans. Is NRS really going to say "**** You," to those fans. Personally, I'm unsure about the rumors, as I doubt any employee would risk their job by revealing details about the game too early. And this info has been released mere days after Mortal Kombat 9 has been released. Thoughts?
 
Personally, I wouldn't mind if Mileena was excluded in the next game. They did a God awful job on her in MK9.
However, deep down, I know I want to see that idiotic Cyber Sub-Zero out, so I'm hoping Ermac and Mileena surpass him in the future.

Plus, I love seeing Quan Chi right down there on the list. Take that NRS!
 
I think it is a "decoy" rumour : scattered around by NRS to make sure people will play more others characters, that , in the past, were unpopular, and this way, players now have chance to enjoy more all overall work they did hard in this game and put in each character individuality .... but, since they (NRS) put a lot of "heart and effort" to bring back our beloved old school MK characters back, renewed and updated, I don't think they will dare to **** off the franchise, doing a very stupid move like this, just cutting out 5 characters well-known .....

Maybe if they (NRS) are stupid and idiot enough to do it, let's say, there is always possibility to bring back in other sequels, characters that are "hibernating" during a current game .... this new MK 2011 is incredible, all characters are cool in this new engine, could be a shame just leave any of them behind .... specially ,for example, let's say, Stryker, who finally deserves some proper respect for being portraited as a badass, and having a pretty cool designing look.

Or in the worst scenario/situation, since the franchise have more characters post UMK3, I think next game will be the turn of others, like Tanya, Rain, Sareena, etc .... maybe , mixed with some characters of this MK 2011 ....

I hope Skarlett, by now a DLC (MK 2011), has more importance in the next game, and make part of story mode as playable, if MK2 sequel will have one ....
 
Wow I can't believe idiots are really thinking about Mk10, Mk9 just came out a couple days ago, Also if they were to add a new story it would just be DLC which I'm sure we'll be seeing shinnok in.
 
I think that in order to really stick with the new canon they're trying to establish with this game, they'll need to commit to a few character deaths and leave them gone. However, I highly doubt that they'd let that decision be made in such an arbitrary fashion, such as online usage statistics.

That said, I'd be pretty miffed if Mileena got cut. She's one of my best fighters.
 
The game is pretty much fresh yet .... a new game , probably will be hinted only in 2012, and , with 2 years of development, only finished on 2014 .... so, until there, there are lots of things to happen yet , but, sure NRS is paying attention in how good (or bad) the MK community is receiving MK 2011, and NRS and Ed sure will take note about the good and bad feedbacks about this game.
 
The game came out 3 days ago... I dont think they are going to cut someone from MK10 by what the numbers on the web say as of yet.

I do think however that in MK10 some people are going to be very pissed with the roster as the ending of MK9's story mode leads me to believe MK10's is going to start immediately after meaning a lot of characters will probably be cut.
 
people play mk9!!!!!!!!!!!! If this was a year from now then you should be worried. Why does this kind of stuff always get threads enjoy this with your characters now and stop worrying about something that isn't even proven true.

You can't believe people are thinking about MK10? Why the **** not? Where is the logic in that? After completing Story Mode, we're left with all sorts of questions that force us to think about what's coming next. NRS definitely want us to ponder the future.
 
NRS has barely thought about MK10 at this point, their focus is still on MK9. Once they finish up DLC and other things then they'll start working on MK10 after a much needed break. Any rumor of this sort for the next YEAR at least is false. And I can also promise you they are not looking to spread rumors of this type either. It's some kid somewhere laughing right now because there is a thread about it here.

Seriously, I don't know how people could be this easily fooled, anyways, considering the game just came out less than a week ago so why the hell would they start thinking about MK10 already? Too fast....
 
When looking at history, we can see that NRS isnt too shy to cut characters. They even cut Scorpion and Liu Kang!....but if they cut Mileena from the roster again(I know somebody from NRS is gonna read this) THEN THEY CAN ALL GO TO HELL!!!!. Ill focus my attention on other fighting games and wont even look at the new MK. Just because some casual scrubs and Scorpion players find her her and the other bottom 5 difficult to use and not brain dead mash easy dosent meant she dosent have fans.


BTW Developers often start planning for sequels right after or near the end of develoment of their current games. So im not suprised about hearing of MK10 now.

Really? You arent going to play MK10 because one character is cut? What do you want Mortal Kombat Armageddon for every single game to come? Not every character can be in every single game.

Tekken,Virtua Fighter, and to an extent Street Fighter leaves the most popular characters in every game. So why cant MK, and yes for a few characters or so i will drop a fighting game. Im not just a random masher so if there arent any characters I can connect too then Im out of there. Just like if both Chun and Vega were cut out of SF I wouldnt even bother.
