Come on! We are in the spoiler section in a post that is titled "Killed in Action, Missing in Action, Survived", and the game came out 2 days ago and a week ago for some people (like me), do you think the spoiler tags are necessary?
 
I officially hated Story Mode when every decent character in the game died. Not to mention that almost none of them died for decent reasons... killed in a split-second by Sindel. It was like they said "Crap! We forgot everyone has to die! Just kill them here in half a second and put salt on the wound by putting them in Netherrealm."

I just meant that there were some people who did complain about things not being in spoiler tags.

I dont think Liu Kang died, hes just knocked out. But yeah i was pissed when smoke, jade, and the rest got pwned so easily by......sindel...like forealz?
 
I think we'll be fine, they'll probably bring back a lot of the dead characters as Zombie "insert name here" and have their alternate costumes as a normal looking version of the character, plus there are some other good characters that will probably be reintroduce lol

I'm not worried.
 
I hope none of them return and instead Boon finishes MK8 that was supposed to have Shao Khan, Taven, YSZ, and Scorpion plus other few survivors after Armageddon.

No more mentally challenged Raiden or lame CSZ. It would be the best MK ever.

Except that everyone died at the end of Armageddon except Kahn...

Noob has likely been completely destroyed by the Soulnado, like what would have happened if Scorpion had not found a rift into the Void at the end of MK:DA.
Unless Noob had done this, his corrupted soul would've been destroyed completely by the Soulnado's purity...
 
we were warned in advance that this was going to happen, we just were warned for a different game and none of us put two and two together. I honesty expect them to keep them dead except for a few of them.
 
The fact that people died means almost nothing until we know what the next game's story will be, most of them could quite easily be revived. And it is very likely they will be returned to normal if not early, then later in the next game's storyline.

I would say the evil people got the short end of the stick here. Most of them had no big role in the story and someone like Reptile could have been dropped from the story mode and nothing would have changed. Many characters were never designed to play a big part but I can't see how having them at least playable for a few fights would be impossible. Surviving after doing nothing isn't much of a feat.. Characters being "evil" doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to play as them, the "good" guys are "evil" to them, they are just fighting for different reasons. NRS just f'ed up and made every battle match a victory for the person you are controlling, they could have had after battle events that changed the results. e.g. Playing as Ermac and winning the battle but someone saves the person you beat just in time.
 
Keeping everyone dead would be RIDICULOUS! Oh yeah, okay. Lets have an Mk with just Raiden, Johhny Cage, Sonya, and practicly all the bad guys. That would piss everyone off.
