One flaw in sub zero's x-ray move.

I think if you played it the right way, you can only get 1 x-ray. Especially if you accidentally use a enhance, or use a breaker. Which you will use... Haha, so no flaw there.(:

If you are expecting realism from a game full of magic, monsters, hats that cut you in half, people that shoot lightning from their hands, turn into dragons and eat you than I don't know what else to say. Would it be great if he picked another organ each time? sure, would it be great if a ninja didn't use a headbutt? yeah, isn't it odd that he freezes their liver/stomach and smashes it without his hand leaving an entry/exit wound? yeah that's pretty bad too but still this is just a game not an anatomy class lol.

thats why i said before X-RAYS are repetitive

1st- this must be one of the dumbest complaint and thread I've seen on forums
2nd- who cares its just like a SF super move when the bar fills up n don't use it if u dont want to no one said you have to.
3rd- when its play by very good players online you probably wont be having more than 1 x-ray unless you choose not to even use a bar to do enhance special move or break out of a combo which you will need to against good opponents.

In MK Deception you could throw a guy into a flaming compressor and smash him and he was alive again in round 2. Sub-Zero's stomach smash continuity error is nothing!

Any other compalint/ worry threads people want to make? my God! there are more negative threads about MK9 than positive. Theres two weeks until the game is released so your complaining will have know effect, unless there is patch coming out after the game is released.

I've been stalking the forums for quite a while now except spoilers and never see any post or mention to this flaw. It might just be that i don't look in the demo section often but anyway...

In the demo, when you perform sub zero's x-ray he destroys the victim's stomach or liver (not sure what it is). Lets say during the match you perform x-ray again (most likely next round or so) The liver/stomach is still there. I know its just a demo but hopefully they somehow fix this in the final.

If you're looking for realism in a game....Mortal Kombat isn't it.

X- rays are a kowards komeback :)

I don't understand why people say this. You probably were sarcastic (based on that smiley ;)) but if you weren't sarcastic then I think you're dead wrong. Sorry. It CAN be a comeback, but it can just as easily be a way to punish your opponent who has used all of his meter (combo breaker, enhanced moves) without any luck. Maybe you've blocked them. Use it directly in the second round (even if you won the first) and you've got a head start. Not saying that this is the only way to play, just saying it's a tactical option that's there.

Getting kind of tired also with all these negative threads. Constructive critisism in all it's glory is fine but you, honestly, think this is an UNINTENTIONAL FLAW by the NRS team..?

The premise of this is that your health regenerates after each round hence the internal damage also regenerates. I don't think its possible to do more than one X-Ray per character, but thats my reasoning behind the re-appearance of the pancreas in the second X-Ray.

I dont see why this is a big deal, X-ray moves aren't meant to be spammed during a match especially if your fighting a skilled opponent because ive noticed once you've done one x-ray its harder to build your super meter up the second time around unless your opponent is beating the hell out of you your not going to get an x-ray a second time

^^
This.

Besides, GOOD fighters will probably be using the meter to add "Super Moves" to the end of their combos, like Scorpion's Enhanced Teleport, Sub Zero's Enhanced Ice Slide and Johnny Cage's Enhanced Flip kick / Shadow Uppercut.

I don't see the 1 liver per match as a problem (like someone posted before), because your health also regenerates.

Realism =/= Mortal Kombat
That was my BIGGEST problem with the "Rebirth" film pitch, in the first place.

Realism? In series with Brutality and 4 skulls from one body? No thanks :D
Anyway this Sub-Zero's move is discriminating for Johnny Cage, no balls to crush :D

My friends and I have a one X-Ray per character per match rule. For realism and cheapness factor. However, we safely assume every character has Wolverine style regeneration powers. How else would they get from one fight to the next?

No offense to the OP cause they are entitled to his/her opinion... but these things always crack me up!!! Uppercuts send guys flying 10 ft. in the air... the typical special moves range from sticking a spear in a guys chest to flat out shooting them multiple times with a police issue side-arm. And yet we are having a conversation about how it's un-realistic to shatter somebodies liver twice in one round. Do people really care about this stuff??? Seriously, Baraka stabs you in the eye socket for his X-ray... others fracture backs, necks, etc. I really don't think the devs or most players really care about realism in this case!!!

i just want to see how subzeros xray would work in headless kombat O.o

Actually... thinking about it, it's even more interesting seeing how Barakas work. Since his X-ray only does damage to the neck/head.
"I GOT YOU... air..?"

So I have a new record of six livers destroyed between Sub's X-Ray and the pit fatality. It is really funny to me.

Would the game be fun if the stuff in the game was more realistic? I mean honestly, regardless that the liver regenerates. An entry wound like that would be so traumatic you would go into shock and die fairly quickly.

So should you just die instantly, be paralyzed, or die slowly after almost any/every x ray? I mean hell, Sub also stabs you through the chest with an ice sword.

This such a funny thing to nitpick.

Ed Boon did talk about this he said basically if your attack targets a limb that is missing then it will just miss.
