One flaw in sub zero's x-ray move.

I've been stalking the forums for quite a while now except spoilers and never see any post or mention to this flaw. It might just be that i don't look in the demo section often but anyway...

In the demo, when you perform sub zero's x-ray he destroys the victim's stomach or liver (not sure what it is). Lets say during the match you perform x-ray again (most likely next round or so) The liver/stomach is still there. I know its just a demo but hopefully they somehow fix this in the final.

I made a thread about this back in november lol
yeah its a flaw, but they should keep it that way because its best for a professional level fighting game

Its because most matchs your hardly ever going to pull off a 2nd X-Ray and yes this has been talked about

The liver is the only human internal organ cabable of regeneration. Maybe in MK world this regeneration is super fast :P

Since the AI is terrible in the demo on any difficulty, you usually have the option to perform your X-ray twice. However, when you finally start playing online (against good players) you're going to realize that getting two X-rays in a single match is going to be almost impossible.

Fix? With what? It's the same thing for every X-ray, Johnny Cage can break your spine again, Scorpian can shatter your jaw and chest again ect. Once you use an X-ray once it fills back up very slowly, if you are able to do X-rays 2-3 times a match that means you are not doing enhanced strikes or combo breakers, thus making me wounder how in the world you would last in competitive matches. You want them to just not allow you to use an X-ray after the first time? C'mon this is hardly an issue that needs to be fixed, issues that need to be fixed are Johnny cage's infinite triangle punch loop, glitchy pieces of clothing (Like Johnny Cages' arm band stretching over the screen.), floating body parts (Though that seems to already have been fixed), and the difficulty/AI oh and the spoilers. Not some gimmick that should only be used once in a combo or as a strategic way of winning or evening the score. Not trying to bash or anytihng, jsut giving my two cents. Also this has been discussed before.

I definitely fail to see how this is a flaw. I mean come on guys, how else would they do it? If I want to do two x-rays in a match I should be able to.

has anyone thought of what might happen on test your luck if you where subzero and had headless combat? like what would his xray be then? would his headbutt just miss or something?

Haha, I never thought of that actually. Wonder how that will turn out!

I was bored last night and if you spam Sub's ice ball you can perform like 2 x-ray moves per round. I destroyed Cage's liver four times and he still had one left over for the put fatality. But anyway, I don't see this as a flaw or laziness. Just Mortal Kombat ay its best.

Although this one is much more realistic than others it is stock over the top. And I honestly think the regenerating liver is intentional.

Yes! Exactly this! You beat me to it.

I originally had a problem with details like this about the x-rays. After going back and playing some SSFIV and MvC3 I see why it is no big deal. Super moves have become a staple in top tier fighters. As such, the X-Ray's in MK9 are the equivalent of these Super Moves. In MvC3 Chris Redfield launches an RPG at you over and over. This is the same suspension of reality you must give to MK9. The great thing about MK9 is that you at least get to see your opponent torn up after the damage you inflict. ;)

-_-
If you perform any Xray the opponents bones shatter into a million pieces, and if you do it again all the bones are magically restored and you break them again. Why is Sub Zero's liver freeze any different...

On another note, this game isn't suppose to be Realistic Fighter 9.

Most of the x-rays (and some special moves as well) are potentially lethal, but with a little bit of imagination you can skip over it and live happy, although I think they went a little too far with some x-rays, like Baraka and Kitana ones, but all in all I don't give a heck, they are funny and gruesome to watch, period.

I don't really care for X-Rays. I can GUARANTEE there won't be a lot of them going on in matches against me. First off you can block them, then you can breaker them, then I have Johnny's X-Ray which counters other X-rays. Almost removes them completely.
