People are disappointed with Reptile's look?

never liked the overreptilianization (my new favorite word) of reptile. Sure lots of kombatants have flamingly obvious names, but it got a bit out of hand. My name for instance, isn't mammal.

They eventually turned him into onaga, though which was a good direction for that. Outside of that they keep him in the same henchmen to the henchmen position in the story as baraka. not to thrilled with his overall direction.
But I like him as a Ninja, and that's why I preordered as amazon.

I could understand the story line on why he "de-evolved" into a more reptilian-looking creature, but this game happens way before that happened to him so he should have been his human-ninja self here.. My only complaint about his looks

Agree with IsItTheShoes. I like this Reptile. Well, it's your opinion. They probably want to go back to that blend of the sorta Shaolin Monks look with him, yet wearing like it's still part of the tribe.

alot of wwe fans then if you guys love the drop kick. Its retarded. it looks retarded. Reptile is a fighter, not a wwe wrestler. and reptile looks disappointing. The color schemes of reptile look dull and bland. Give him orange/red eyes, and darken his skin color. Also add more scales, and change that chest plate of his.

I love his new look, Birds and reptiles are very similar, and you would know this if you paid attention to the evolution theory, so haveing a bird shaped face is pretty brilliant. His new look is better then anything they have done post mk3

If you read what i said, I didnt say i hated reptile's face. I said that i hated reptile's chestplate, eye color, skin texture and skin color. i love reptile's face. it is the best interpretation of a humanoid reptilian for reptile yet. But of those things ive mentioned, fixed them and reptile would be ace. he would even b top pick IMO.

I am old school and I personally loved all the MK1 ninja outfits. That being said I would go with the MK1 look, as for Reptile yea it's like he gets worse and worse every game lol. I used to rock out with him (play with him), then he got gay looking and I let him go (in other words stopped using him) lol. Ummmm but are we forgetting something here? when has Mortal Kombat ever stuck with a design? all their characters designs change every game...one notable one (Jax gosh sometimes he just looked so wrong)....

I was going to pre-order with amazon...but I live in Japan and I wanted no confusion....so I had my brother pre-order it from gamestop...I wanted Sub-Zero classic outfit/Fatality but idk (I don't know) I guess I didn't trust Best Buy and sent him to Gamestop instead.

You guys are all lucky though....I have to wait till the 23rd of April before I get my hands on the new MK, because he has to ship it express from California to Japan yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.....あれ?

His look could have been done better, but, is better than some other bad costumes he had before in past games ......

The fact Reptile is a saurian-humanoid, make NRS wants to show more "skin" in his outfit, instead of a green ninja disguised of human ....

How is it brilliant when it's based on a theory and nothing solid?

Besides, this is Mortal Kombat. Not Discovery Channel. Reptile's name is not Tweet-Tweet. It's REPTILE! He should look like a damn humanoid Reptile. Which he does (without the stupid mask). But even then his face is so poorly designed.
