...damned i just forgot about that one, sure as hell wanted to put it in a poll...i enjoyed this game so far, almost as much as MK, the only reason i couldn't ever execute such crazy combos and finishers like other people, which post videos on youtube...that remained beyond myself to pull off till the day...

Sabrewolf was my fav I used to be able to pull off his 22 ultra combo but I doubt I could do it now

1st - Obviously has to be Mortal Kombat, MKII was the first video game ive ever played!
2nd - Tekken, when MK was going through their 3D phase, this was my favourite fighter
3rd - DOA, just loved Jann Lee to death in that game, plus the fighting engine is awesome
4th - Virtua Fighter
5th - Soul Calibur
6th - Street Fighter

Dont care about the rest.

ALMOST the same as yours, except i still preffer Virtua Fighter over Dead Or Alive...but thats just me everything else i agree with! and i would replace street fighter with MVC now since MVC3 looks amazing and i have no doubts play as well as it looks...

Hard to say. MKII is my favorite fighter of all time probably. UMK3 is in my top 5. After UMK3 the series just got progressively shittier until where we are now. To this point I think Street Fighter, and a number of other series, have been much better on the whole. Hopefully MK9 brings MK back to the glory days.

UMK3 and MvC2 are my 2 favorites. SSF2T is also badass, but I suck at it, so I'm not so fond of it. MKII and Samurai Showdown 1 & 2 are also great.

Also, Eternal Champions was HORRIBLE.

War Gods, best eva

But really MK. I think it's kind of silly to post a poll about which fighting game is the favorite on a forum for a specific fighting game. The likely hood of the poll being remotely accurate and not skewed to the aforementioned game is ridiculously small. Of course more people are going to like MK on an MK forum.

...well i understand, but this was done more like to determine close (or far LOL) second, third etc...

Although this is a MK site, if this poll/forum was on another website, I would still choose MK.

MK is unrivaled and is still arguably the best fighter there is!

Tekken, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, and Soul Calibur have been consistent series that I followed. I have limited experience with fighting games by Arc System Works and SNK fighters but did really enjoy the ones I did get a chance to play. MK series had it ups and downs. Tobal and Weaponlord showed some potential, but did not make it far commercially.

For me, I'm gonna with... Virtua fighter. Many people I know say they don't know how to the play the games effectively, at all and have usually given up on them. But as I've gotten better with the games over the years, I enjoy the sense the realism the game seems to offer in terms of fighting for each fighter. It makes me not only enjoy the game itself but helps me appreciate it martial arts even more (been doing Taekwondo since i was six).
