Hardest thing.

Post what you think was the most difficult thing to do in Konquest.

I think it was in the last training session where you had to fight all the Daegons.

I still haven't beat it yet. I"m still mad. I hate that kind of shit. You kill one and theres 2 more to take its place.

You don't have to kill all the Daegons. Just one. 3 of them are fakes only one counts as a kill. Once he's dead you complete the training. The real one has a longer life bar and isn't knocked down when you do a ground pound (that's how I figured out who the real one was). Yes that is probably the hardest one when you don't understand it. However I think the hardest one was the Netherrealm training when you had to fight wave after wave after wave after wave after wave of Demons, Undead, and worst of all Lizard Men (damn you acid spit!).

I do understand it. Its still hard. You have all these fake ones attacking you non stop, and the parents shocking you whenever you don't expect it.
I'm not used to blocking konquest, so I have to get in the habit of that. You block, let go for a hit, then get hit about 20 times, then 2 more from your parents. Its so frustrating, I had to quit.

That one in the netherealm where you have to kill a bunch of demons while getting poisoned is hard too. I quit that one accidently, and the game saved over it afkjadklsj

ahhh that reminds me of the shredder boss in the TMNT arcade game for NES i think it was. There was like 3 shredders and only 1 was the real one.

Anyway i couldnt ever get passed the dead guys that puke, and you were dying, i think it was in the neatherrealm. I just quit that and moved on.

For me the hardest thing (and I'm sure it was easy for others, unfortunately :( ) was beating that giant Shao Kahn statue. He just would NOT go where I wanted him to, and everytime I'd try and run around and make him follow me to the area I wanted him to go he'd keep using those laser eyes on me. Once he shot me 3 times in a row! Never let me get up. It made me so ultra furious. But I finally beat it. Now I'm running through konquest again and I'm back at that part, hopefully it'll be easier this time now that I have some experience doing it.

This was also difficult for me, although I did find an easy method during my first run through that made my 2nd trip much easier.

First: Use your forward tumble move (RT+X on XBOX) to move quickly.

Second: Ignite the four orbs from where you entered, just turn and look at each one and tumble if you need to avoiding his laser eyes (RT+A or X on XBOX, whether you want to go forward or back, back in case of his ground pound).

Third: Once you have all 4 orbs lit, run behind one of the two pillars where you entered the area, the statue must be blocked from view so you don't take any damage.

Fourth: Once the statue gets as close as he can, aim towards the middle of the two pillars and tumble forward (RT+X) then aim down the middle toward the ground pound area and tumble all the way down (RT+X). Once the statue reaches the center ring that is lit with the red glow you can use your ground pound move.

Fifth: If your health is low after you take half his health, head under the orb directly left of the ground pound move area(if facing towards where you entered). There is a full health restore vial in there. NOTE: Also while in one of the cut-out rooms you can't get injured. If you do happen to take damage upon exiting the room there is another health vial that spawned where the statue was when he took damage.

Sixth: Move around the room and repeat steps 1-4.

NOTE: I tried the Time Stop move and it didn't freeze the statue, I noticed someone else say they used the Time Stop... do you have to be within a certain range of the statue for it to work?

Yes you have to be within a certain range. Time stop does work. I don't know why people have trouble with the statue. As soon as the battle starts I shoot all four crystals with my fireball just circling in place. Then I run straight to the red area and freeze the statue then pound the seal to hurt him. Grab the power replenishing crystal rinse and repeat.

It was difficult for me the first time.

I didn't know that I could use my fireball to hit the orbs, I thought that only worked with people.

I was trying to freeze him in front of the orbs, then try to knock him over lol

were you trying to hit the pound block while he was still moving? I used time stop, then did it.

yea, he was moving. I DID think of using time stop, but not until i had already defeated him. After I realized how easy it could have been if i had only used my brain, i was like DUH!!! And swiftly kicked myself in the jaw.

Well I learned to use stop time on that executioner in the dungeon. It got me thinking of different ways to use it.

Yeah I know that guy.

When I first fought him I hit all the pound blocks because I thought it would make him vulnerable. It didn't of course. I just let him kill me then restarted.

I did it right the second time though.

Easily the hardest thing I've come up against so far is the Shao Kahn statue. Taken me 40 tires and I STILL have not beat that c*&^. He's such a pain in the ass. I personally think they made this one too hard, especially since he shoots the skull out of the back of his head as well. That sucks. Or maybe I'm just too old o be able to handle it.... though I never in my wildest dreams thought 25 would be too old for Mortal Kombat.... I might give Scorpion's suggestions a try. I'll let you know... and yes, I have used the time freeze on him too, even though I was told in the Strategy guide it ws useless against him.... you need to be pretty close though.

Well they can't have made him any easier. Shoot the blue balls, freeze, ground pound. And you only have to do it twice. Plus there's a respawning energy crystal, he sometimes pops up health vials when he pounds and you get a free health vial in one of the four alcoves surrounding the main area. You get plenty of health and it's not hard to just hit some blue balls with a fireball. Unless you're trying to just punch him to death he shouldn't be hard at all.

The beginning of Shao Khan's Fortress. The blades aren't what I have the hardest time with. It's those damned spiked balls rolling down the ramp. Your timing has to be just right to get past them of 'SPLAT'. >_<

I think the last Obelisk was hard as hell to get through. That was my hardest part in the game. Btw, what happens when you collect all Relics?

You unlock everything in the vault.

the most difficult thing has to be the tekunin warship (the fastest 30 minutes of my life lol) the only other stumbling blocks I came across first time through were the Raiden fight and the colossus.

timing might be the biggest thing for deathtraps. aside from their patters. example. spiked balls: they go in groups like this: 5 balls, pause. not long enough. 3 balls, pause. still not long enough. then2 balls. after the group of 2 rolls past run right after the last on and you will have the most time. not much to be said about the tekunin ship. you just have to be fast about it. you usually finish with about 5 "minutes" if you do it quickly. i havent had much trouble so far in konquest except for the giant skulls. any hints anyone?

this game kicks ass.
