Your Review Of The Demo

Tell me what you thought of the Injustice demo, here are my thoughts......

The demo was awesome and it was a nice suprise to see that we were abel to fight Doomsday. Batman was my favorite character but I don't like Lex because he is way to slow. Wonder Woman is in-between for me' while I like using her lasso, the sword and sheild feel super slow especially when walking.
Pulling of combos was easy (maybe it's because I play MK9 alot) but doing the enchanced versions of some move took some time to learn. Activating the stage interactions was preety clunky on my opinion, sometimes I would be doing a combo and trying to follow it with hitting my opponent against a helicopter (like in the Battle Arena) but the button would not respond. Also, I would have switched Luthor with Superman, Flash or Harley.
One final thing to note though, I am really worried that someone will hack the demo because the options to play the Story Mode and S.T.A.R Labs as well as the Bonus Features are still there, just un-accecable.

What are your thoughts on the demo? Do you think there is anything that needs improvment before release?

This game feels like horse shit. Straight up sluggish garbage, which is devastating because I was looking forward to this game so much. The dashing feels like you're doing it underwater since it can't be canceled. Which pretty much means combos are just putting your different strings together, no sick Nightwolf jab juggles or wall carrying.

Maybe it's just the characters, or maybe the gameplay isn't finished in the demo. Still going to buy it.

The demo is aight.

I cannot wait for the game though, so I can learn how string combos better with characters I care about.

I've really enjoyed it so far; good, clean fun! I've played with all three characters and I like Bats best though Wonders & Lex were fun too, for different reasons. I get my ass DESTROYED on hard mode though. But I'm certainly not as hardcore a gamer as many other folks so that's to be expected. It would've been nice to see some other characters and maybe just one other stage. But it's freakin' cool that Doomsday is in it. Also, I've yet to pull off any of those attacks that exploit the multi-tiered nature of the stages, y'know, like punching someone through four walls. Though Doomsday managed to pull that crap off on my punk ass. Smashed me down through the earth and right back up again! Good times! Overall this has really just hyped the hell outta the final product for me. Seriously looking forward to it!

I thought the Demo was overall okay. Here's a few key points.

CHARACTERS

(Batman) Best one to use because he seemed to be the faster of the 3. Otherwise to be honest Im disappointed with his overall moveset. Thought his Moveset in MK VS. DC was a lil better.

(Wonder Women) Was okay to use. Decent moves. Not much to say

(Lex Luthor) I usually cant stand Lex Luthor but I enjoyed playing him very much. His combos and his dash speacial move is money.

GAMEPLAY

Controls: Not really a fan of the 3 button scheme. Don't mind the back for block as long as it's only for this game and never MK.
Don't get how clash works yet but I do know I think they were better off leaving it out ot the game. Might effect it's tourney chances. Im starting to see how the enviroment interactions work and it's pretty cool.

Speed: Sadly the speed of this game is much slower than MK9 and even slower than a game like Soul Calibur and those sons of b***** are wielding heavy weaponary! Too bad they wont have a fast code like MK9 did. If it's possible please speed up the movement its horribly clunky and slow. It almost negates everything I do like about the game.

FINAL SIDENOTES: Graphics, Music, and enviroments look great. Voice acting job appears to be good except who the hell is that announcer? She's terrible and boring.

VERDICT: I'm expecting the final product to be better than MK VS. DC but right now I can only give this a 7.5/10.

I am ready for the final build. I hate playing old builds that won't really matter once the game is released so because of that i won't review this demo.

Lol. I wonder what's wrong with gaming these days. We decide we want something and even if we get to try it and judge it bad we will buy it anyway.

My Xbox is 200 miles away from me so won't be able to say anything for a few days. But being even slower than MK9 is really worrying. Starting to feel I'll buy this just for the story and characters and extras, unless the demo is really dated. I really hate dated demos that "This is a work in progress and doesn't reflect the final product". Why make a demo if it doesn't represent the final product?

I said that because I can't fully judge the game based on characters I had no intention of trying. If the MK9 demo only had Noob Saibot, Ermac and Shang Tsung I'd be saying it was sluggish too.

Anyway, after playing for a while longer, I still hate the dashing, but the combos feel good. Especially with Wonder Woman, the character I had the least amount of interest in.

Very enjoyable, in my opinion. Personally, I didn't find it sluggish at all. To those talking of unresponsive stage interactables like attempting to combo into a Helicopter smash, this is an early build, people! The final build could be significantly different.

The interactive shit works for me. And it feels great to combo off the helicopter. I just don't know how to smash people through the multiple tiers.

I I love the demo. Im not sure if it'll be what you all want. But going off this its already what im wanting in this game.

Back+3, my friend, Back+3.

Edit - Whoops, guess I waited too long -didn't notice that KillingSlash had already posted.

I have similar complaints to those who already posted. Everything feels like you are fighting in molasses. Gravity also seems way too strong. Batman's move set is just plain terrible. Back to block is horrid. There doesn't seem to be any logic to normals/command-normals. This game is simultaneously too realistic (gravity/speed) and too ridiculous (stage interactions, Super moves) for me. If these two were swapped I would be happy.

Despite wanting to support NRS, I can't in good conscience buy this game. I will wait for the youtube compilation of the story mode (hopefully they will release a DVD of it like for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes), because I am sure that the story is going to be awesome. I did support them by purchasing Batman's armored costume for my Xbox Avatar, so I don't feel too badly.

I'll explain my thoughts later tonight.

I like it.

But it feels like some dude put it in the ass of blazblue street fighter, and then asked mk9 to lick it off.

You can't go into this game comparing it. The movement is like street fighter. Get use to walking to space moves, and whiff punishing is all I'm gonna say. No dash canceling doesn't mean bad it's just different and it's gonna take some
Getting use to.

I played again for a little this morning before going to work. Figured out those interactive, bash someone through a wall moves. Lotsa fun. Also completed the demo on hard with Bats. I'm digging the demo and can't freakin' wait for the game! Though I'm definitely not as psychotically pedantic as many folks on the web so maybe that's why.

I honestly can't wait.

I didn't think it was sluggish. I'm guessing that it's because I never really dash cancelled in MK9. I find this fast, fun, and really confusing I can't stand the back for block thing I keep playing it like it's MK. yet I'm sure if I play more and am able to put my time into the characters I want like Adam, Shazam, Cyborg, Green Lantern, Nightwing, and EVEN Superman.

Quick everyone look outside is their fire falling from the sky, have the sea's dried up yet?

I loved the demo. Gameplay and pulling combos are great and easy because i'm a MK player too. BTW, i started to finish ladder on very hard without losing any match. But is really pain in the *ss not like mk. Especially Doomsday is the hardest one. But i found a tactic for him. When he gets armor, dont try to hit him. Batman's parry is the only move you need to pull for his armor. NEVER but NEVER jump backwards when you close to him cuz he will definitely air grab to you, very annoying... Also i didn't understand that why game's Frame Rate drops to 30 at character introductions (at start), Super Moves and on multiple tier sequences. I hope it is going to be 60 all the time on final retail.
