Al Pacino!
Whoever mentioned this great actors name deserves a big fat Cuban cigar, and right now. This guy has to be one of my altime favourite actors. If anyone has seen the movie 'Heat' or 'Scarface' then you all know what I'm ranting about. Heat is a modern day gangster/cop flick where Pacino plays the hardcore cop, and Robert Deniro (yet another great actor, imo) is the hardcore crook bent on undoing everything that is good and just. Seeing these two actors face off in this movie never ever fails to inspire that feeling of 'AWESOMENESS' from me.
Some of my favourite actors from yesteryear are as follows. And we're talking the big guns of hollywood at a time when epic movies were really EPIC!
Charlton Heston: The 10 Commandments, El Cid, Ben Hur. Those three movies alone are enough to shake the very foundations of the colloseum from Ben Hur that Mr Heston won one of the greatest, if not the greatest chariot race ever filmed in history.
Tony Curtis: The Vikings, Spartacus, Houdini, Taras Bulba. This guy also starred in teh very popular series 'The Persuaders' alongside Roger Moore of James Bond fame.
Yul Brynner: The King & I, Ultimate Warrior, Westworld, The 10 Commandments. Yul Brynner Imo was an actor who could fit into any role he was thrown too. He is and was one of my fav actors of yesteryear.
Kirk Douglas: Spartacus, Heroes of Telemark, Gunfight at the O.K Coral. Pushing 90 years of age now, Mr Douglas is and was also one of my favourite actors of the old days. The poor guy has been battling all sorts of crippling ailments for many many years now. God bless him, what a battler.
Burt Lancaster: Zulu Dawn, The professionals, Island of Dr Moreau and many many others. Too many too mention in this post. Mr Lancaster also made many narrations fro documentarys throughout the years.
Ernest Borgnine: The Dirty Dozen, Flight of the Phoenix, Barrabas. Ernest also starred in th hit tv comedy series 'Mchales Navy' back in 1962. As weel as the more modern series called 'Airwolf' Mention should aslo be made of his great performance in the orginal Poseidan adventure movie.
Clint Eastwood: (thx dis for reminding me of him) "Go Ahead Make My Day" Dirty Harry, The Good The Bad and The Ugly (classic shit!) The unforgiven, Palerider. And the list goes on and on where Mr Eastwood is concerned, especially when starring in great westerns.
And those are just a tiny fraction of some of my favourite actors.
